any upcoming meets in new jersey?

 

there was a 240 meet at best buy at the GSP and supposedly some g35's showed up, i was out with some friends so i didn't get a chance to look

 

Where in NJ are you? Our club meets about every other week on Sunday and are open to everybody to come hang out. We meet at our shop location, do some work on the cars and chill. Our next meet is June 8th.

Anyone interested in meeting at an Autocross at Giants Stadium. I have been to the last two, no other G's are there but it is a great time. The next autocross is Friday June 6's at 2pm or Sunday June 8th at 8:30am.

I just registered for the SCCA autocross June 14th at Englishtown. It will be my first autoX. Giants Stadium is a bit far for me, unfortunately, especially on a weekend in the summer heading north/south.

Hmmm... PJM is about an hour away, but it should be in a direction that avoids heavy traffic. hmmmm....

When you say "work on cars," what kinda stuff we talkin about? Is it like "bring your own add-ons and get help"? Or...
Reason I ask is because the first thing I need to get done (ASAP) is window tinting. Plus, I want to know if I should bring my tools if I'll be helping folks out.

 

Yeah, a couple of our members come from the Edison / Somerset areas and they typically have ok luck with the traffic as they're going the opposite direction.

In a nutshell, our club is focused on the DIY modder. So if you have mods / maintenance to do, we have a private space w/ lift and tools where we can do our own work. We have a decent array of tools already, we only recommend people bringing their own tools if they know they need a speciality tool we don't have or just feel better using their own. We already have some speciality tools such as a fender roller, heat gun, angle grinder, air tools, etc...

As a guest, if you need to make use of the resources, you just have to give us advance notice so we can make sure there is available time (members get priority). Its $20 per hour for use of the lift and/or tools. Members get no charge usage as part of the dues, but we ask people to attend meets as a non-member for at least 2-3 months prior to looking to join the club so we can get a better feel for them as a person and that's typically long enough for people to get a feel for us and make sure we're a group they want to be a part of.

Typically, all of our shop meets are DIY work focused, somebody always has something to do. Those who don't, still come by to hang out or help. And anybody who isn't a member, is always welcome to come and hang out.

What club sponsors the AutoX? I used to compete with the NNJR Region, but that was almost another lifetime ago. Was interesting in getting back into it again.
