Posting this over from My350Z!

Time to start planning the next Mountain Run. Would like to get some feedback on the following things:

- Date
- Miles of actual routes (in seat time)
- Places cool to look at and take pics
- Set stop points
- Separate run groups (Experienced = 3rd + Run/New = 1st or 2nd Run) <~~ Please take this seriously. As before, Safety First
- Set Camera/Video Cars
- Walkie Talkies
- Crack of Dawn Breakfast then caravan to start point
- 2 Day (Would be nice to rally to a set point, then sweep back towards home or major highway on the 2nd day)

Open to any and all ideas, the more input everyone gives, the better I can plan the Run. We have all Summer to throw a few Runs together and finish of the season in Sept. Come on PPL!!!!

sounds like fun. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread to see what develops. I've read about the mountain runs that have taken place in the past and they sounded and looked like great times from the pics and stories...

this would be my first mountain run

Werd. I'm in. Mountain Runs are always fun. The scenario in my avatar unfolded within 5 minutes of Mountain Run III in Sept 07. Hahaha

Helllo all!

So I went to NH over the weekend, mapped out a few places for the summer run, Kangamangus is a sick road, and there's a lot in Laconia as well.

But I also know there is A LOT of awesome freakin roads along like Newport, Middletown, Narragansett (RI for all you ppl that dont know where that is....) that would be nice for a run, especially in the summer, they all run along the beach!

So I just wanted to get peoples opionions on where you would like to do the run.

The places in NH is about 3 hours north of Boston, and that brings you to the places, before the run even starts....

Let me know.

 

I like Newport, and I haven't been to the Kangamangus Highway in New Hampshire in a while. Both sound good to me.

 

Love Newport Too.. lived in RI for 3 years. Im down for either location too

 

I put a poll up to see what ppl thought was the best area....

Also, does anyone have any dates in mind that might be good for the run?? i.e. A Saturday or a Sunday? July or August? etc

 

Saturdays are better for me. Unless it's in August, in which case Sunday would be just fine.
I voted Newport, RI. I think RI is the most central location you suggested. It's about equally far for everyone involved.

 

Well Wendnesdays work best for me if it lands on an even number and thursdays only work for me on every other odd numbered day... Saturdays & Sundays however i really iffy, if its a 7th or 11th im no good, if it lands on the 6th or 9th i can make it for sure and then i can only do Saturdays if its a full moon and a half moon if it lands on a Sunday Only!

 

Im sure we can all accomodate that request lol
