I was wondering if anyone had the MV-80W form, which is a form from the DMV which allows people to get tint for medical reasons. The form is not on the DMV site, so I was wondering if anyone has it.

Sorta, it allows people with severe skin conditions to be allowed, with a Dr's note of course, to have tinted windows.

NY allows fairly dark tinting. I have not known anyone in NY that has gotten a ticket for dark tinting.

It's not that NY allows dark tinting, its just that the officers don't really enforce it (knowck on wood) that much, especially in the 5 boroughs. I've heard them cracking down in LI, so if you see cops open your sunshade or put your dome light on. NY State actually doens't let us tint darker than 70%, which is like factory tint.

Yeah I got the form. Problem is that the Dr won't write down what I need. I guess I might just go for plan B (PBA card)

Watch out... every summer around exit 27 on the LIE NYPD sets up a road block and checks for tints.

One a sunny weekend its like a import car show with all the rice rockets pulled over...

And actually, my friend just got a tint ticket. The cop was saying, "sorry man, I have tints myself. but bloomberg's really pushing us to give out tickets" It came out to 40 bucks and he has to send in a picture that he has removed them.

 

Can't he just send a pic of his friends car that looks the same?
