i bought a brilliant silver coupe about a month ago as well at norwood. i just got the windows tinted yesterday. i got the rear window done 20%. it looks sick. i removed the infiniti letters and the g35 from the rear deck. i love this car. i got the performance tire, the premium, and the aero packages. 5AT. only had it up to 120 so far but hoping to get it up to 140 or more soon. i need to find a race track somewhere to fully test it out. i'm looking around for some nice 5 spoke chrome 18's right now. and waiting for the nismo turbo kit to come out.

Where'd you get the tint done? Did you use one of the upper end 3M or Llumar films? And you do know anything less than 35% is illegal in Mass, right? [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]

How much do you want to spend on rims? I've been wanting to get Fikse wheels, they're the lightest I've found that don't look like plastic, but damn expensive, about $900 a wheel if you custom order. I saw that some Porsche guys got it down in the $650 range through a group buy, but they don't have the same bolt pattern as the G. I don't like their 5-spokes though, it's the Profil10s that belong on my G, probably with a Mirror Polish. I'm definitely going 17x10 though: faster on the drag strip, nimbler in autocross, and about $100 less per wheel than 18s. One thing we've got going for us is that the G and Z have the same bolt pattern as a Mustang. Know any Mustang clubs that'd do a group buy?

yeah but the 20% looks so much nicer. a buddy of mine did it for me. i think he uses 3m.
as for the rims right now i am looking for some nice chrome 18's with 5 or 6 spokes. but i am debating buying a harley so i don't know if i want to spend a lot of cake on them or not

my buddy said to contact master auto class in weymouth. that is who he usually does the tinting for. it cost me a bout 195 to get all the windows done.

Joe Veneto at Norwood is a good guy, seemed a straight shooter. Didn't give me any deal, but didn't even try to screw me on add-ons or the like. Kelly Infiniti in Danvers *did* try to screw me by telling me the day after I made my deposit that I had to make it non-refundable, which was just one day before the configuation I wanted was being offloaded in Norwood. Finally, there's one on Commonwealth Ave in Boston that I haven't dealt with, Herb Chambers Infiniti. I'd try them first, then call Joe (internet manager) to see if he'll counteroffer.

One last thing: don't get your car serviced at Norwood. They completely ignored what I told them to do and I've heard from other people that they suck.

I almost have one, I will have my DG 6MT by late June/early July in Boston.

I also want to tint it when it arrives. Is 35% the limit in Mass?

I ordered one from Herb Chambers and they made me put a non-refundable deposit down. I didn't want to but no other dealer in the area could get a DG with the options I wanted by the end of the summer.

 

I agree with JDMan about Joe. He didn't try to sell any add ons to me. He was nice to talk to and helpful. I negotiated the deal over phone and he was quick to send all the paper works etc.

 

New Infiniti dealer in NE is Infiniti of Nashua. Worth a try. My salesman was Ambrose Devaney---good guy. Will talk. No tricks.
