There's nothing really knowledgeable about. Almost every cars are the same, with a good mechanic, he can get your car done faster and cleaner job. I've done litte things on my G at my friend's shop. If its a little bigger job, I let him do it just because I want to pay him, not that I can't figure out how to do it but don't want to occupy one of his lift and not gonna pay for it. The only 2 things I can think of having the dealer or G35 knowledgable mechanic involving is either still under warranty or engine performance (boosted).

when i refer to knowledgeable, i mean someone who knows his way around the car. yes, a good mechanic is a good mechanic. but a mechanic who owns and works on our cars is more knowledgeable in the sense of first hand experience. plus, there is always something that is specific to a car that a G owner would only know

^^ not quite.....If he's good with Nissan in general, he'll able to do the car just as well. Since that all Nissan cars share same parts and ideas, Honda does too, also Toyotas and others.

As an overall mechanic, yes, but the G has it's own quirks/issues/TSB's....completely independent of Nissan, as well as other Infiniti models.
