Buying G35 in NJ...worth it or not???? please help NJ guys!

Hey guys I'm new here on the forums and I'm thinking about getting a Salvaged G35 from NJ to Oklahoma. It's 2004 and has 37000 miles. I'm worried about the rust problems that you guys have there in NJ, should I go for it, or not? any suggestions. Could the corrosion problems that you guys have under the car and etc be too bad for a 5 year old car like this one???
The car itself is easy to fix I already took care of the research of all the damage, it's just Im worried about the corrostion stuff under the car, I think you guys understand what I'm worried about.

car shouldnt rust on any of the body pannels due to the fact 90%of them are aluminum..as for the fix..looks fairly simple..but it could be worse than it looks..have you actually looked at the car in person?..if not it might be a good idea to do that 1st

so you guys there don't worry much about the corrosion/rust under the car on your G35s there? Not bad at all???? No problems for a G?

I live in Maine and like IrockAG35 said a lot of the car is aluminum. I dont see a big rust issue with the G.

What are they asking? co-part?

Yeah I lost the car? someone from NY outbid me. Yes it was a copart auction. ...Still continuing to look for a G35.

The story is insurance totaled my 02 Maxima, so looking for a G now.

G35 6MT
I would've been very cautious about that kinda damage. It looks very similar to the damage I had in my last car -- and it wound up being totaled because the needed repairs wound up being a lot more extensive than what they'd been expecting.

Anyhoo, good luck on your continued search!

^^^^ yeah I see! Well I'm buying a G not for paring out, it will be my daily driver. Love Gs!! looking for a manual, don't realy want an auto. BTW is auto tranny on Gs any good for a turbo, or a supercharger kit???

I work as a body man and all the repairs will be done by me, so I'm not worried if the car's damage is considered totaled, I'm fixing it.

Here is the thing, and trust me on this. You want to buy two or three of them. You will get the car for under 10k but Infiniti parts are a lot of money. Yes you can buy some here on driver and some through friends, work, ect. But trust me you will find your self needing bolts, screews, clips, hoses, clamps, ect. So dont spend 2-5k on parts, just buy another G that is hit to hard to fix 2-5k Then you have all your parts and you can sell the rest

2004 G35 6sp brembo, nav, ect. $8,700

2003 G35 auto, $2,700

Cut the quarter off and door.

Cut the quarter off the "parts car"

Put on the quarter and door.

$8,700 + $2,700 = $11,400

Sold parts of the parts car for $4,000

$11,400 - $4,000 = $7,400 and sold it for $18,500

Made $11,100 in two weeks or you can keep it $7,400

PPGFREAK!! man you got some good info here! good pics too! so you've delt with the cutting and parting out the Gs!
Here's the one I'm going to bid for! I never fixed G35 before so I'm not aware of the under damage. I think you can help me out on this one
I don't know if there could be any suspenstion damage and the rear axle damage... Not sure how the under quarter damage looks like there...well what do you think????

The car is 2007 22K miles. with that kind of damage i hope it shouldn't go for much.

do you think there are any suspention damage there? any drivetrain damage or probably the control arms bent???
The car is being sold tomorrow and I need to know as much as possible about this as i can.

if I win it, I can't meet up with you! we are 1500 miles away from eachother, maybe you could ship them somehow? there's gotta be a way.

well help me up with more info if you can on this G, would appreciate it bro. what kind of hidden damage are we looking there???

Yes it has suspention and drivetrain damage but I have both

1,500 miles? Were are you? This is the North East section you know lol. I drive all over so mabey we can meet half way because the parts will be a paint to ship.

Parts..... inside and outside quarter panel, rocker and side skirt, fender, rear bumper, quarter glass, airbag sensor, strut, spring and I would change the rear subframe. I have most of that
