Caravan Locations (Actual locations to be finalized by the end of the month):

Boston, MA
Framingham, MA
Charlton, MA
Strubridge, MA
Manchester, CT
Berlin, CT
New Haven, CT
Stamford, CT
New York, NY
New Jersey <~~ Not sure where

With the success of our latest run, I felt another should be had sooner, rather then later. Was a great time, and the final section was by far the best piece of driving I have ever seen on these runs thus far.

I would like to open this up to a larger group, include more types of Performance Cars, and have a good time on some winding back roads, but...

Here are my concerns, and feedback thoughts:

1. Who is going to lead this time lol
2. I want to say the best group in our last run, new entrants would be cool but concerns of unknown, unexperienced drivers (On this course). Many of the regulars have a few years and multiple event experience.
3. Timing - We should leave even earlier to cover more miles prior to the early birds.
4. Navagator/Communication Person Requirement: Should this be required?
5. Route Spotters
6. Better Comm Systems - CB Style Handhelds
7. PD Scanner
8. Secondary Group (Split by overall entrants. Long Range Comms a Must)

I would like some feedback on the following please:

1. Route: Stratton Route, Chick Route (The latest one), Chick Route + Last Section of the May Run when OMEGA46 Lead , or a completely new one?
2. Thoughts on the pace
3. I know 6:30AM was early, but do you feel would should have made it earlier since we did get stuck behind a lot of cars throughout the morning? I would leave before the sun rose if it ment a better overall rally.

Things to keep in mind, and to bring with you:

1. Safety First
2. Walkie Talkie *** REQUIRED ***(FRS Style) Route doesnt have cell service most times. Fairly cheap to purchase, split the cost with a friend. I could even arrange a Group Buy possibly. (Great Job on this one, we all had one, and some spares)
3. NO PASSING <~~ Well controlled by leaders, and great help by overall group regarding safety
4. NO BLOCKING
5. STAY in your assigned Position/Group (This a requirement going forward. More info to come)
6. Navigator to read out directions/turns
7. There will be no stoping and waiting, we will have set up locations to meet/catch up and refuel if needed
8. Radar/Laser Detectors
9. We will be stopping to grab lunch and take pics (Bring your cams!!!)

Those who have been on the Mtn Runs of past years know how much fun it is, but please ensure your car is well prepped to be a part of this event.

Car Focal Points:

Stock Brakes - They will take a beating. Make sure they are good to go
Tires - Please ensure they are in good condition to take a beating
Oil & Fluids - Please top off and get an Oil Change!

Looking forward to seeing everyone's input, ideas, and feedback to make this and all future Rallies most successful

I just subscribed and voted. If it's the 12th or 13th, I'm there.

I'm in with my 94 RX7. I'm in Stamford so I can ride up with Larry.

Larry, I saw your car drive by my road the other day in Glenbrook on Hamilton St. I heard about you from JZurita, I bought his Toyo R888's a few months ago and he told me you lived close by.

Can someone PM me what really takes place on these trips? I've never been to one before. And I hope there are lots of gas stations haha, I get like 6-8 miles a gallon when I'm up in the boost.

Hey man!

I sent you a PM with my contact info.. yeah i live right off of Hamilton too. Lets roll!

the MT runs are a lot of fun! we all need gas and we stop pretty frequently. but we will have walki-talkie's so we can coordinate if someone is in serious need of gas.
