Well, I didn't get a ticket actually. I got a summons. Apparently the NJ turnpike is 55 at some points. And when you are going 90, well, 90-55=35. There isn't even a check box for 35 over. [img]/w3timages/icons/crazy.gif[/img] So now on September 6, I'm due in court in Onion County, NJ. I'm just glad he didn't get me going any faster.

Who else got a ticket? I'd bet between us and the Z's, there were at least 10. I hear quite a few of those Z's got tickets when they burned out of the park. [img]/w3timages/icons/laugh.gif[/img]

Oh, and if anyone has any suggestions for me, please tell me. I think I'm getting a lawyer.

jay...if they offer you a plea, take it! does it say if he got you with laser or radar? a lawyer can help with radar, but getting hit with the laser is tough to beat.

Okay, now I can't find my ticket. Anyone know what to do in that situation?

It was laser by the way, but I believe it was done illegally. NJSP policy forbids police from setting up a speed trap within a mile of a 65->55 speed change. I believe it was within that.

The state trooper was really nice and not bad looking either. =) He told me that he wasn't going to ruin my day (I told him I was on my way to a car meet and visiting the state of NJ) and he gave me a ticket for $81 and for "careless driving." No points, nothing on my record. *big sigh of relief*
