Anyone familiar with the Williamsburg, VA area?

It looks like my girls and I will be spending a week in the Williamsburg area, the week before Labor Day. I'd like to know if anyone can advise me on "things to do" and "things to see." Restaurants and points of interest would also be helpful. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

1. Pierce's BBQ. Best pulled pork sandwiches on the east coast.

2. If you go to Busch Gardens, take the monorail to the beer factory, skip the tour, and go straight to the bar. You get 2 free beers. If your wife doesn't drink, you get 4 free beers. Oh, the amusement park is good, too.

3. The colonial area is kind of a rip-off. Unless you just have to go on a guided tour, don't get suckered into buying the overpriced passes they are selling. You can see almost everything without them.

4. If your girls are into outlet shopping, there is a good outlet mall there. I think it's called the Pottery Factory or something like that. I think it's out on Route 60.

5. Great golf. Kingsmill. Golden Horseshoe. Royal New Kent. Hell's Point in Virginia Beach. All great courses.
