whats up everybody. Being a new G driver for the past few weeks, I just have a few questions for my local G people.

1st- Where did you get your G tinted? Are there good places in the area? or did you have the dealer put the tint on?

2nd- Do you have clear mats to protect the cloth mats? Is there someplace around here that has custom ones?

3rd- What places do you recommend for performance and other upgrades?

4th- Anyplace to get nice license plate frames? or just ordered them online?

5th- touch up paint for the 18" rims?

Random general question: the first time you washed your car, what products did you use?

Hey Brian, congrats on the G, I just got mine a few weeks ago too, I'm here in Lodi. There is a place right next to me on Rte 46 it's called Mother's, it's on the north side of 46 between the parkway and Teterboro Airport. BTW, you goin down the shore on the 29th??? We could meet up and drive down.

i'm from cliffside park/fort lee/soon to be edgewater...

1st- I still have my tints to get put on, but i was told somewhere in jersey city is supposed to be reallly good with lifetime warranty etc. info is no use cause i don't know where it exactly is. when i do eventually get it, i'll post somewhere. my dealer's usual tint shop went out of business. hah

2nd- i bought clear plastic mats to cover my cloth mats at www.exactmats.com i think. got it from someone on the forums

i wash my car with mr clean autodry soap, bunch of microfiber towels/sponges. rims i just use a regular mitt. then i use crystal guard after i'm done with the wash. my car always looks sexy by the time i'm done.

I'm in New Milford.

As for tinting, I heard good things about the TINT SHOP in edison on route 1. Whichever place you find, make sure they offer lifetime warranty against bubbles, peeling, and discoloring. Also find a place that uses a special type of glue for the dot matrix pattern on the top of the rear windshield. Since tinting is illegal in NJ, i went 35% being afraid of police. However, i want to do it over again with 25%. So don't wuss out like I did with a lighter tint percentage.

also i know a guy in bergenfield that will do any work you want. atx is good but charges alot more. my friend dave at smiley garage is the nicest mechanic on the planet. he can get you the parts or you can get them and he charges dirt cheap labor. and on the plus side he lets you sit with him while he works on your car. and he knows about nissan cause he specializes on 240 and 200. if you go tell him dan and mark abbadessa sent you. even for oil changes hes cheap and he uses mobil 1 i think it was 40
