I think I am down!!! Do you know how to use a redgular SLR camera (Canon Rebel) and set the aperatures n stuff! I was thinking Hoboken or Weehaken. Where is Afropuff, he has some good shots from weehaken with my building in the background. G35Girlie also knows the area very well so she should be able to pick out some good places to shoot. Where r ya Girlie?
I wouldn't mind some sunset shots either. I am trying to get a good shot that I can blow up inito a poster!!

 

<font color=blue>*** WHO'S UP FOR A NIGHT PHOTO SHOOT? ***</font color=blue>

This coming Monday evening/night (9/6th - Labor Day) I am going out for a photo shoot with my "G-enie" [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img].
Tha' plan:

Official meet point: Ft. Totten (TNB Bridge) - Directions will be provided soon.
Time: 6:00pm

Pre-gathering point: Cunningham Park (for those who want to meet at Cunningham first and take the 5 minutes ride up to Ft. Totten)
Time: 5:40pm

Ft. Totten:

mingle, babble, drool, and most importantly - pose for the camera at sunset with the TNB bridge in the background.
Once we're done there, whoever is interested, we'll head out to our second and main attrection:

Night shot with your G - "G and the City..."

These shots will be taken at Astoria Park with the TB and the city's skyline in the background...

Directions to Ft. Totten:

FROM THE CROSS ISLAND PARKWAY
Norhtbound
After passing the Bayside Boat Basin the eixt is approximately .8
miles. Get off at exit 32 Bell Blvd.
Make first right turn and go about 500 feet. Parking lot is on the
left..... u r there.

Southbound
Get off at Clearview Expressway exit ( it's just before the bridge) .
Make a left turn. Follow directions coming from Clearview Expressway
except you will be seeing two extra traffic lights.

FROM CLEAARVIEW EXPRESSWAY
Norhtbound
Get off at last exit before the bridge. Bear right at end of exit.
After 2nd traffic light move into left lane and make a left at the next
traffic light. This is the intersection of Bell Blvd. and 212 Street.
**Be carefull making the left turn. It is a double left turn, you want
to make the left closest to you. The second left turn will put you on
the Cross Island Parkway going north, not a good thing. Go under the
Cross Island Parkway and just past that is the parking lot on the left
... u r there.

FROM CONNETICUT
Get off at first exit on the Clearview Expressway, 26th Avenue. Make
two consecutive left turns and will put you back onto the Clearview
Expressway going towards the bridge. Get off at the very next exit, Do
Not Get On To The Bridge. Follow directions Clearview Expressway Norhtbound.

I remember RacingDynamic had a place in Jersey where the Manhattan **skyline** [img]/w3timages/icons/cool.gif[/img] served as an awesome backdrop.
night-photo-shoot-meet.
I will be taking all shots at high-resolution (2,272 x 1,704) and with the aid of a tri-pod, these could possibly be nice printouts should you decide to print them out.

We need to come up with a place where we want to take these shots. Once we know where, we can decide where to meet.
I think sometime around 6-7 will be a good time to gather if want to catch the sunset.

Diesel, I wouldn't count on my capabilities with SLR as I only play with these settings on my digital camera - much easier as you can adjust on the fly (picture didn't come out? - just erase, re-adjust and shoot).
Maybe we can get GforceI and his stunt photographer to join, I'm sure she can do some magic with her SLR [img]/w3timages/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Since most of the people who responded are G.Squad's and all of us (I think) know where Cunningham park is, I'd suggest Cunningham as a meet point?

Hey I'm down for this also , Astoria Park is a long strip across the river it is a nice place for a shot but best of all a bunch of g's rolling deep wow that would **** off mad heads who hang out there.

Sean you could always roll with me if u want!!!! I'll call you later on this week, we prob meetin up this weekend anyway haha. One of the nicest places ive been to was ocean parkway and sunken meadow bridge at like 4 in the morning haha, the lights were bright and blue ont he bridge and there wasnt 1 car out!! It was sick i might be doing that like saturday night again but coming with my camera and hopefully no tickets this time =)
