Hey Guys,
I woke up to the worst sight anybody who takes pride and joy in the car could ever see. I woke up at my friend's place, open the window, and see that ALL of rims (Stock 18") were STOLEN!! To compound the situation, they left one side of the car on bricks, the other side on the on the Rotors supporting the car,... AND they hit my car on the rear bumper with some scratches on the side. I was sh!tting bricks 'cause I was starting to think where in the hell am I going to get 18" WITH tires that will fit on my car on a Sunday, with the long weekend looming... If I left my car like that, I was thinking airbags, tires, radio, etc would be gone abandoned like that for the next 2 days.

This is where I am glad and proud to be part of this G35driver forum, and G.Squad. I called Vance, hoping that he knew someone from the from the forum that had some spares rims/tires lying around... and he was extremely helpful, willing to drive out with Rims, and take 2 hours out of his Sunday to help out another fellow member of the forum in a time of need. This goes to show not just the standout guy Vance is, but the bond and community of this forum. It's more than just people talking cars, it's about everyone with a common interest, and taking joy in the hobby... it's about helping others whether posting a DIY, giving advice, posting recommendations, or giving suggestions based on our bad experiences.

I would like to thank Vance and let others know of his kind deed!! I've read post of one idiot challenging his character from meeting him once, and I'm proof of what a good friend this guy is.

There are lots of a$$h***s in this world, but it's reassuring that I can still look around to see/meet people who are just good hearted people and not let the small 0.001% of those a$$ get to me.

I hope whoever did this will get their own somewhere down the line, but now my whole week is going to be dealing with my claim, getting new rims, find a bodyshop, etc.

Quick question, did you have wheel locks on? I currently have one set, and am thinking of putting at least another set if not two of them - different types to make it harder on this a$$holes.

G.squad member called and needed wheels and tires and get his G off the rotors....and I responded man...thats it ,thats how I hope the G.Squad will grow to be....that tight
no need to pay me or buy me any dinner etc....

Just Get the wheels/tires before you get the body work done...thats all I ask....dont put my wheels in a body shop and watch those curbs...(I know I keep sayin that..and I know you're like alright already!!...LOL...but I'm sure you understand what nuts we all are about these cars...and thats a part of my baby)...

No Speed he didnt have wheel locks...and these Cheap asses at Nissan didnt give us any with these rims as they should! ...ITS A DAMN INFINITI.....its stuff like that , is the reason they will ALWAYS play second fiddle to LEXUS ,BMW and MB....
Jason you should get some locks though ...and put them on my wheels because you will need them anyways when you get yours back...and this way you can secure my wheels so we dont have any mishaps and then you'll have them for your wheels whe you get them...you'll need them anyways.

Out of curiousity I searched online for them last night to see what the price might be for them new...I saw one site that had them...$325 each...new.......so $1300 for the set
the tires are an average of 240 each so ya lookin at $2250 or so to get them back

Damn, sorry to hear about that BP. I'd probably flip [censored], then realize how cool it'll be when the insurance check comes, that I can use it for custom stuff. Those rims are like $500+ from infiniti, plus another G for tires. Start shopping!

wow, I am shocked that yours didnt come with locks...mine did...my salesman said that they come with them standard, just that some dealers take them off before delivery and try to rape you by selling them to you seperate. Sorry to hear about your car though...will insurance cover this?

Yes, I'm fully insured... I'm just irked that people do stuff like this to others. Rims/Tires are one thing, but they did body damage as well, so I'll need to go to a bodyshop. I work 60-80hrs a week, and don't have time for this S**T... =[

I need to call my insurance to see how I'm going to claim this since I have to do body work/paint... If it was just rims, then I'd just claim comprehensive, but I might just claim it all together and hope I don't get raped for my insurance premium for the next 6 months and years to come.

But definitely, wheel locks are already in the mail to keep Vance's heartrate at a minimal, and to ensure I don't have to buy 2 sets of rims... (My car is garaged at home, and there are security and cameras covering every square inch of the parking lot where I work in the parking lot... So no worries about [censored] happening. Just not going to park my car in NYC for awhile until I get everything settled.)

WHere did this take place, in your driveway or on the street or something? Yea apparently you gotta be careful with these rims and stuff because they are defintely a hot item in NYC, all them old school maximas rockin them and what not. The only good thing if it is possible is that now you can get some 20's for the car. Hope things work out and take it too a good bodyshop. I have one in Long Island if you need them.

BP....sorry to hear the bad news.....there are a lot of low lifes in this world.....

Make sure the bodyshop inspects your undercarriage for any damage those AHOLES might have done to the bottom of your car as well.......You may have to have the rotors that supported the car replaced as well......

These cars should really have a good motion detector with this alarm......it would definitely deter this kind of vandalism......

I don't know why your car didn't have the wheel locks.....mine came with them with the extra 4 lugs and the wheel lock socket in my truck.....

Hope all works out.......maybe a nice set of aftermarket rims and tires to pay for your pain and suffering.....

I'm flippin' just readin' this $#!T.....WTFFFFFFFFF. Yo, bro, what goes around, comes around. That **********/those ********ers will get what is due to them. I usually chill in NYC, but park my ride in a garage in Hoboken 'cause reading $#!t like this is my worst fear.

I'm not part of the NY G Squad, but I am impressed with how tight all you guys are; I wish Philly had a crew like that.

Well, that's why we all have insurance...in case bull$#!t like this happens. It'll all work out in the end.

To follow up... and to give a heads up...

GET WHEEL LOCKS!! and a motion sensor alarms!!

My recommendation after going through this ordeal is for those of you with aftermarket rims, parts, etc... to CHANGE your "comprehensive" deductible!! It's not that much of a difference from a $1k vs. $250 deductible for a sense of security. I had to learn the hard way... =\ I'm out $1k this month for my deductible...

I REALLY hope those lowlifes get theirs down the road...
