Re: older people

Define older people? 30s 40s 50s

How old or young you are? Are you trying to say you don't see people in your age driving Coupe? I think it's safe to guess you are in late teen or early 20s... What did you expect? It is not a cheap car. One would be very lucky to drive G at early 20s, or even at 30s.

I am in late 20s but I still get carded when I buy smokes, so to you I might look like 21yr old punk HEHE.... Lately, I see a lot of 20s and 30s as well as 50+ people driving coupe. One time, I saw 65+ "young" lady driving coupe, I was so surprise I gave her thump up ^_^

Final note: How come you are always busting Philly G drivers for not representing philly? Have you ever thought we can't make it to meet or gathering because they have to work or too busy. I know I have to work 6 days just enuf to pay for the gas for my G... ^_^ How or who pays for your G? Don't answer that we have pretty good idea.

Re: older people

I see people of all ages driving the G , O_NO being the youngest =) , but there is no age limit to the G it's the best car out there and everyone wants to ride it
I don't think ballin is "busting" on Philly G's he just wants to form a crew in Philly to meet with , at least he's tryin to get something started there unless he's insulting and causing trouble.

I pay for my own G , if I let my parents pay for it , it wouldn't be mine

Angels

Alittle tongue n cheek there =)
It's all good.

I just think Ballin is just lookin for alittle company for his G. We kinda take it for granted with the numbers we have living in the metro area here and there still plenty of peeps with G's around here that have no clue what's goin on with us.

Re: older people

I'm in Bergen county and all I can say is that the majority of the coupe drivers are very young, most of the sedan drivers are older.

It seems most of the younger crowd are haters as well. Nobody ever replies to a nod or a friendly wave. I'm not a hater, but all I can say is you better take care of that ride, a lot of us had to work for it. If you screw up a gift such as a g35...I'd personally be willing to come to wherever you are and smack you upside the head.

Good luck w/the job search, but for some reason I don't think you'll be paying for your G anytime soon. Later!

Re: older people

Serum when I first got me G to be honest I was like that , hating on everyone who had my car , then a friend told me I should join the forums and just find out whats going on, after what I've seen going on here and meeting G owners in person , I began loving everyone with a G began loving the G-Squad for what they are about , not 1 hater in the Squad everyone wants to help each other in the best way they can. that's what the G-squad is about and I'm very proud to be one of their newest members , that's right I'm G-SQUAD and I"M PROUD wha wha =)

Re: older people

when my friends 13 yr old son saw my 6mtC, he said all the old people get nice cars. i am 42.

i couldn't afford dropping 30 something on a car before, between buying bigger house, private school tuition, etc.

i guess this is a little spoiling myself before i go broke on college then heavy duty savings for retirement. what can i say.

the only time i really feel old is either when a young person makes a remark (which i smirk about) or i look in the mirror.

although at the gym other day, these twin boys (15?) were on the bench and i asked if i could work in. i started at their max. they then said "you're pretty strong for someone your age". oh, they max'd out at 205

04 6mtC, DG - possibly most babied G on the board.

Re: older people

There are many reasons why older people buy nicer cars, the main reason being that they can afford them! You gotta pay your dues. I was lucky enough to have landed a great job out of school and buy the car by myself without any help from my parents (not even a co-signer). My main beef is when people come up and make the "thanks Mom and Dad" comments. That $hit gets me HEATED!!

The funniest experience of my life was the day I picked up the car. I completed the entire transaction over the phone - sight unseen. I told them to find me the car and they did, I told them I found a better deal and they matched the price. 2 weeks later I walk in the dealer to take delivery and the saleswoman said "I'm sorry, I actually have an appointment right now but I can help you in a few minutes" Then I said, "Actually, I am your appointment." She replies "Wait, you're Evan? I thought you were like 40?" I just smiled and said "Nope, I'm 22, now where's my car?"

Money = Power

Age = a number

Re: older people

KingofJerico - I have to agree. I also did almost everything over the phone. I landed a good job after graduation in May as well and it is great to buy a car by myself with no co-signers.

I went to the nissan dealership to test drive a Z (had to weigh all the options) & they wouldn't give me the time of day. They figured I was just 22 year old kid who wanted to rip on their cars and couldn't afford one on my own. After 1/2 hour of waiting around to drive one & getting a d**khead sales rep I told them no thanks, the G's are way better. He told me to, and I quote, "keep dreaming" - well I walked out of the nissan dealership into the Infiniti dealership that was 100 feet away, and ended driving the car out the next day.

and it REALLY pisses me off when people ask how much daddy paid for the car... Some people just have no respect.

Re: older people

that's weird , I'm 24 years old , I went with my father so he can co-sign and noone ever brings up that fact , I pay for the car myself and everything but I never got a how much did daddy pay for it , which is surprsing cause when u hang out with Greeks , u get stereotyped into beleiving daddy bought u your car.
