The way my league works ,

1) you have a count of 5 to get the ball off before the giver can rush the QB , no o-line or d-line just the giver and the QB

2) you only have 4 downs to get the TD no chance for First Down just TD.

3) it's 12 min per half with the clock running even with an incomplete pass or a turnover.

4) if the ball hits the floor the play is dead , there are no fumbles in this league.

5) 3 timeouts per team

6) Offense is 1 QB 4 Receivers

7) Defense is 5 defensive backs + the Giver

8) ahhh helll I'll state the rules of the league I play in if we actually abid by these rules , let's just go out there and make up the rules as we go =)

Sorry, but what do you mean exactly by "the giver"

is that person just a defensive lineman that hikes the ball to the qb (due to a lack of an offensive lineman)?

In our league he doesn't hike the ball he just stands behind the line of scrimmage listening to the refs count ( if it goes to 5 he can rush behind the line and tag the QB ) , tries to make it harder for the QB to throw the ball by disturbing his vision down the field and also he can block the ball once it leaves the QBs hands. In rough touch, I believe, the Giver actually hikes the ball.

wow when I was younger I had my team ( The Coalition , named them myself) play the Junior Untouchables every thanksgiving morning or the weekend of , tackle football at QCC wow memories , I'm down for then , unless snowboarding season opens up =)_ I realized I talk to much umm maybe I can speak more at the meets instead of being my shy self. oh well that was off topic

LOL! I appreciate the enthusiasm, but we got to see how this thing goes. The league thing is a cool idea, but we would have to guarantee heads every week, which might be hard to do. I used to play in a baseball league, and other teams would have to forfeit for not having enough players.

Plus, I like playing an opposing team who I know or am friends with. Sort of like a pick-up game of basketball. It's always a lot more fun when you have enough friends to form two teams instead of playing strangers.

Maybe we can get monthly games, and then the people that are hardcore about it, can join the league as well? So they can do their weekly thing and then hit up a game with the rest of the crew on a monthly basis.
