aresicks, you simply tap into the wires at the 3rd brake light with some t-taps. if you dont want to do that, goto nissan or infiniti and ask for the wiring kit. i know they sell it separate

 

I am sure its a simple mod if its not wired for the third brake light.

the law says you must have two functioning lights...so when a tail light goes out, you also have the third for safety... I think thats how it is anywyas.

I was NOT going to run a third brake light, althought there is a guy selling one from a NON trunk.

you have the brake light in your rear window anyways..we worry about it. I would put some black Vinyle on that bia bia and a black valance inbetween the mufflers and call it a day.

 

i heard a rumor once that if you are going to run a spoiler with a 3rd brake light and you have one in the rear window also that they both must be functioning or you can receive a ticket. not sure on the validity of that though

 

naaa the stock G35 does not have that so how could it be law.

I believe its 2 functioning brake lights in va, however one must be high and center like the Chrysler 300M (in center top of trunk) or in the window like a spoiler-less G35 or all the other cars after the early 1990s.

stock doesnt have both unless the spoiler was added later. stock would have only one either on the rear deck(wingless) or on the spoiler and not on the rear deck if it has a wing. but what i heard was that for those who added a spoiler aftermarket, you must have both the rear deck and spoiler brake lights functional or you may receive a ticket.

 

Yeah is just remove it from the rear deck just in case..

but as a G35 freak, i cant recall noticing if a spoiler had, didnt have, should have a light...so most po pos wouldnt notice...lol

unless that brakelight is there and not functional... I would use to OEM window and paint or cover the spoiler light if it were me.

I wont have either....spoiler or rear deck lid. I might go LED strip one day down the road.

 

Spoiler is freshly painted IP, which it didnt need a complete make over, but painter said it was easier to do the entire thing.

I need you to get over to A&R Autobody today man.... if not I will try to make this swap with someone else.... if that cant be done or they cant make it by today/tonight...

I will paint it along with the rest of my car.

I have already invested money it getting the spoiler perfect for you, please call Ray and set up a time to swap this out. I dont want to loose that money on the repaint. I am not painted my car back IP so I could of saved those funds in painting it the color of the car.

I was there at 8ish this morning when they opened. Your trunk is on my car but the clips for the wing had broken or gotten lost so the wing is not on yet. They are going to get the clips from Infinity and i'll come back to have the wing put on. My trunk is in the shop and ready for your paint guys. I appreciate all of the effort you have put into this swap
