I took a bent wheel from my last car here and they did a great job. They're right in Waltham.

1/2 inch depression over about 5 inches. Whacked a pothole at 35mph, tire was flat within two minutes because the sidewall was cut. Rim and Wheel Works is a drop ship location for Tire Rack, so I bought a replacement tire and shipped it there so they could replace the bad one. Only took a couple days if I remember.

I went to rim pro in tewksbury twice. Did a very good job on my 19's and 17's, My 19's are were pretty bad but not bad enough to leak air.

IMO the guys at rim and wheel works are pretty sketchy. They offered to do my wheels on the side which through me off.

I actually was just on the rim pro page just before I made this thread. Prices seem high but better than 700 plus for a new wheel I guess. Did you guys get a re polish on lip or any rash repaired?

Hey Steve post some pics of the wheel. I've got a few places I could refer you to. I agree with DG though...the guys over at R&W are a little shady at times...this being based on facts!

Thanks Erik

Its mostly the front, two slight bends. The rear has a small one that I may hammer down and just live with. Rim and wheel works is only an hour ride from me so I was leaning toward them. They are $135 flat fee according to the lady I talked to on the phone.

Who do you go to?

really it took that long? RimPro did mine in like 45 mins.

I guess it's because R&W uses fire to heat up the wheels then bend it back verus RimPro uses a tool to press the bend down.

If you don't heat it they can potentially crack when bending them back I thought. Heating them then re-forming helps the process as far as the molecular structure somehow. Someone explained it to me once but it was a little over my head.
