MA sucks as far as insurance goes. I pay $145/month for full coverage at the age of 23. I got State Farm and registered at my parents address in CT.

Depending where you are in MA., if you are living in Boston, Worcester, Springfield etc...you're paying much higher than someone who living in small towns. Before moving to small town, I was paying $1175,xx full coverage MINUS towing for my 04 G35 coupe. After moving away from the city of Worcester, $768.xx MINUS towing and car rental. I'm 40+ with step 9, lowest step you can get.
My insurance is Commerce Ins.

Yearly, no way at the lowest step would he be paying that monthly. Hell a 16 yr old wouldn't pay that.

Lucky me I live in a town to pay the amount I do. Full coverage too because I'm on a loan

I pay $275 a month with full coverage thru Progressive. But I live in a small town too. Also have points on my license. Towing as well as $100 a day rental coverage and maxed out all the options on my policy when I set it up. Still saved about $300 a year compared to Liberty Mutual

Yes. And I love all the perks I get with it for such a LOW rate compared to my previous insurer.

Before State Farm I had Geico which they charged me $350/month (Outrageous price, but had no choice or I couldn't pick up my car from the dealer). Then they raised my price to almost $400/month cause my "town wasn't safe anymore". I think it was a poor excuse to raise my insurance mind you I had NO tickets for parking nor any accidents *knock on wood* for the 6 years I've been driving. At that time I had Geico for my previous car (Maxima) and I was only paying $130. When I got my G I had to get full coverage vs half so I was stuck paying above premium with state minimum and no benefits like I have with State Farm; Free towing, reimbursed car rental, up to $1,000 vacation fund (if car was in accident and I was on vacation they would cover expenses), free road side service, doubled my coverage to 50/100k at no charge, etc. I was surprised how much I would save and moved over immediately once I got the quote finalized.

So that's my story with car insurance. Also I believe CT is cheaper than in MA cause my gf pays like $1,400-1,600 for her 95 civic with minimum coverage.

Basically what I did was put my info into a search engine for car insurance quotes and whoever emailed me back with the coverage and price I liked I went with. I think it's the best thing you can do vs calling or getting quotes from one company at a time.

Good luck with what you get and be smart. Don't let them take advantage over you when there are options out there.
