Ray Catena is too far, couldn't get an appointment at Ramsey for a time good for me, so to Lynne I go.

I don't know why, but it's a dealer that -a search shows -almost no one ever mentions on this forum.

With any luck the experience of a simple oil change there will be unmemorable.

I bought my QX4 and Coupe at Infiniti of Denville and got great deals on both... Ramsey Infiniti has a great service department from my experience with them. I have had 2 QX4's serviced there since 99 and never once had an issue.. Their sales department is awful though which pushed me away... The other bonus with Ramsey is that they usually get me in within 48 hours when I call..

they put a 1 inch scratch in it right above the rear fender. To repair it, they re-painted the entire panel, and the door. They didnt even remove any parts to do it. I had hard clear coat lines all around my windows and door handles. AND...they painted it the wrong color. They painted it diamond graphite when my car is brilliant silver. Also, you know how we have those clear bra things behind our doors by the wheel wells to protect the paint from rocks? They painted right over mine without ever removing them!!! When I took it to my body shop and they finally got it off, you can clearly see the paint color differences, as well as the blend marks in the door from the 2 colors and all the clear coat lines. I was sooooo angry! They denied ever painting that, they said they only painted a few inches of the car, but that is BS! How else did the car end up like that after it was in their posession. Not to mention, it took them over 2 months to fix this. I was in a loaner car for 2 months while they were supposedly repairing the car and replacing my transmission (which never got replaced because supposedly imfiniti corporate said no, however as soon as i brough it to a different dealer, it was replaced immediately the same day i brought it in) SKETCHY!

Ramsey however will not service your car if you did not buy it from them. I tried to take mine there because it is closer to me than Lynne's where I bought it, but they said no, because they have to many customers. So I now take my car to Lynne's for all my service.

Last year Douglas Infiniti in Summit burned down so they moved into their Ford dealership in Summit. I received a letter from them saying that as of January 19 the facility will be dedicated to Infiniti only. I bought my car from them before the fire, had one oil change, no complaints. But after the fire It just seemed crazy to have Ford in with Infiniti. It was so damn crowded. I never went back. Now I may give them some business. They're very close to my home.

thats strange G35girlie... i had mine serviced without ever having an issue... Maybe they are high and mighty with their new building... it ticked me off trying to buy my last 2 cars from them... i bought a 99 QX4 in 98 when infiniti was thought by many to be a wannabe lexus/acura because they had limited product and the showrooms were ghosttowns.. now that they have hot product, you can walk in there and be ignored for 45 minutes... very poorly run sales department... Try speaking with Ed Moschino, he is a nice guy, he might be able to get you in.

Wow... really? They asked me why I don't go to park ave since I bought the car from there. I told them I was fed up and they welcomed me with open arms.

wow, i am suprised...i had a lot of problems trying to buy my car from Ramsey...especially after being a prior customer to them. Finall I walked out and bought the car at Lynne's. How long ago did they take you guys as new service customers without having bought the car there? I tried over the summer and thats what they told me. Should I try again?

I gave up on Park Ave within 6 months. So that would put me in the summer of '03 when I started going to Ramsey. I would stop by and ask to speak with the service manager, Jeff. Let him know that you have been fed up with your current service center (park ave) and you wanted to know if you could bring your car there instead. Good luck.

Thumbs up

I just dropped off my car for service today at Douglas. Been going there for a year now even with Infiniti/Ford being in the same lot and never had a problem.

Followup: I was satisfied with my trip to Lynne.

In and out in 50 minutes. Seemed more genuinely friendly then my dealer.

I tried to buy my coupe at Park Ave. and they completed f'd me over. Sold the car out from under me and Infiniti of Denville sends me oil change discounts, bc they think I have the car that they sold to Park Ave. , that they were supposed to sell to me. It was a really messed up situation. Ended up driving 45 minutes to Ray Catena, and I am very happy with their sales and service depts. I really wouldn't recommend using Park Ave. for any kind of service. They are totally unprofessional and unreliable.

Which, if any, would you absolutely not go to (again)?

Lynnes Infiniti in Bloomfield is the best I think. I purchased my G from there. Their service department is excellent also. I get the best treatment, they treated my car as if it is their own. Ask for AL, the service manager.

I will stay away from Ramsey Infiniti. Just because I am young and from Jersey City is no reason to treat anyone as a less of a person. I did not like their sales department, they customer service etc. I hope I never have to bring my G to them.
