Trouble starting this morning? 11deg.

Anyone else have trouble starting their car this morning? Car wasn't garaged. Took me 4 tries before it finally turned over. I think I need that engine/battery warmer thing available on canadian models.

No problem here -19C or -2F, I had my truck and car running this morning. They are outside and I didn't have the block heaters plugged in .

Mine started up just fine, although I am garaged, it's a detached garage so it's still pretty damn cold.

On a somewhat related note (sorry for threadjacking), anyone's windows not actually going down/up when you open/close the door? Damn things are frozen! While these frameless windows sure look cool, they just suck.

Yeah... my window stopped going up and down around mid december. I just open and close the door really slowly to prevent anything from breaking.

Mine turned ok this morning, but like Nooch had mentioned, I had some sort of a buzzing sound that went away after a couple of minutes. This aint the first time I hear this sound, but I know it has something to do with the cold weather.

mine cranked on the first shot no problem, but took a LOOOOOOOOONG time to get warmed up, that's for sure. and, my window made a sickening CRACK when i opened the door, but they both seem to be working fine so i dunno.

and as for weird noises at idle, i can't comment... as i said in another thread somewhere, since my left Kinetix high flow cat blew up my car sounds like the bastard child of a riced-out Civic and a tugboat

Happy to report the car started fine this morning (12deg). Must have been the long weekend without being driven.

That's a block heater, and it works wonders with just 2 hours of operation.
Well worth the minimal investment.

ok so i just started my car and i hear a weird noise... it's like the sound of air rushing. i revved the engine lightly to about 2500rpm and it got a little louder, then when i released the pedal the rpms dropped below idle for a second like it was gonna stall and then back up to normal idle.

my first thought was some snow or something had gotten sucked into my Popcharger and the engine was gasping for air, but i checked and it looks A-OK. any thoughts?
