Yo, guys, be careful while driving out there at nite despite the semi-cleared roads...well, in some areas (i.e. Philadelphia). Since the temps are in the 20s...below freezing...there's a great possibility of black ice out there.
I came across it this evening on my way home. While driving on the highway, as I drove over a bridge/overpass, my ride's tail end started to swing out. As I was probably doing a 120 (degree spinout from the intended direction), I steered in the direction of the slide.....thereby getting the car to return to and stop at a 90 degree rotation. Luckily, nobody and no property was damaged or injured. And, lucky for me that there were no cars immediately around me during my slide on the highway!

Oh, after reading my post again, I guess that it could read that I was driving 120 mph.
What I meant was that my car started to spin out....and that my car had spun around to about 120 degrees from the original direction...before I got it positioned to about 90 degrees (from the original direction).

Poolshark - Shame on you, driving 120mph in this Philadelphia weather...haha
I'm jokin man, be careful out there everyone...Thats why my G stays in the damn garage in these temps...Snow tires are the only way the G should be driven with snow, anything else and your asking for trouble...Glad your safe

Actually, I'm not driving on my stock wheels & tires; I have my 17s & snow tires on.
Well, it goes to prove that snow tires or not...rear wheel, front wheel, and all wheel drive....econobox, luxobox, SUV, XUV, minivan, sedan, coupe, hybrid....it doesn't matter, icy roads show no mercy. Well, I'm sure that some would say that studded tires or snow chains may help in icy conditions, but I'm not sure that those options offer a guarantee during icy conditions.
Anywho, the take home message: Keep your ride at home (as suggested by G35Tuning)...and take mass transit during these conditions! Hopefully, SEPTA will still be around despite their budget deficit.
