I have a 2005 g35 6MT for about a month now. I have my car on my current policy that will end this June but they are charging me Approx. $4000 a year.
I will be 24 at the end of the month with a perect driving record (no accidents, tickets, etc.) I called a number of insurance companies and the cheapest seems to be around $4000 per year
Do you NJ guys know of any cheaper insurance company?
I was once quoted $3000 for palisades insurance before I bought the car but cant find their number or address. Another insurance had given me comparison prices between 3 or 4 companies and palaisades was the cheapest.

I thought that I was going to have a problem with insurance when I was researching the G35, but I went to the GEICO website and the online quote that they gave me was much lower than the insurance I got from NJ Manufacturer's. In fact, I was paying about $2,500/year for just liability on my truck, and now with GEICO I pay about $2,400 with everything for the G
Oh yeah, I am 24 (recently turned) with a not so perfect driving record, but that was more than three years ago [(1) accident and (2) speeding]. And I guess the insurance premium also depends on your county/neighborhood and if you keep your car on the street, driveway, or garage.
When I was researching for the cheapest insurance, I thought that NJCure (non-profit insurance company in NJ) was going to be the least expensive, but boy I was wrong... (about $3,000/year). Also try Otterstedt (insurance agent) - they gave me a quote of $2,800/year. But definitely try GEICO first - so far from my experience, you can call them 24/7 and you can access (and change) your insurance info/coverage/etc from online and they respond to all your questions right away (whether from online or phone) - and their staff seems to be genuinely courteous
Here is a helpful site:
NJ Insurance Site
Insurers Licensed in NJ
From what I recall when I was researching on NJ insurance companies, that site I posted has all the insurance companies that do business in NJ.
Good luck on your hunt and I hope that I helped you somewhat
BTW make sure you read the consumer complaint ratio report for the insurance companies in the NJ website (and try not to go to the any insurance company that has a high complaint ratio though their rates may be really low).

I am 26, I got a 2004 G35, my insurance premium for 6 months is 948.76. This is with Allstate Insurance. I have no points, clean history. It was originally 990. I got it down the fifty bucks because i told the insurance company i did not want their rent a car option and i did not want their towing option. Just pay for comprehensive and colission. What are others paying?
Contradicshione: thanks a lot, your info helped a lot.
I am still waiting to hear from Otterstedt. So far the cheapest place that I have found is www.esurance.com which quoted me $1300 for 6 months(10% less if paid at once) with $500 ded.
The cheapest IS GEICO. I could not beleive it but its true. I got quoted $1085 for 6 months with $500 ded. Remember that I got qoutes from about 6-7 local insurance companies and the cheapest was a little over $3,000 with $750 ded. I am now a geico believer

I am 25, and have a spotless record. I pay $1535 a year with GEICO living in NJ. I was going to get a quote from NJM, but didn't bother because of the incredible rate I got from GEICO.
i am paying 2400 a year full coverage on NJM. I just turned 26, but I was 24 when i got the car and the insurance policy.

My NJM policy was about to expire so I tried GEICO. Their best quote was double what I'm paying with NJM!! Granted I get a discount thru work but I can't believe it makes that much difference.
BTW - if u stay with NJM for 2yrs+, you'll start to see those huge savings

I find it hard to beleive geico gave a better rate than NJM. I got a quote from geico and at first the price was better than the NJM until I found out it was only for 6 months.....geico was almost double what I pay on NJM
In december I was quoted at just under $1000 for 6 months from Geico. This is for the 05 G35x.
I am a 22 y/o with 1 speeding ticket (14 over) and 1 failure to obey traffic control device. I have taken a Defensive Driving course though.

I have a 04 G35x and pay just over $2100 with NJ Manufacturers. I live in Hudson county (one of the most expensive to insure in NJ). Geico quoted me similar around $2200 a year if I remember right. I'm 27 with a clean driving record and park the car on the street. When I was living in Morris county I was paying $1500 a year.
