Dewey Beach

Hey all,

I'm trying to plan a beach getaway with my girlfriend. We hear good things about Dewey Beach (i.e., better than OC). Has anyone been there who can suggest a good relatively cheap hotel. I don't mind paying some extra if the hotel is of better quality. Something on the beach with a nice view. Here's somewhere that one of my friends suggested, Adams. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Stanton, dont know about Adams but it looks nice. I stayed only one night in Dewey and it was at the Marina Suites:

Had a hottub and all but was kinda pricey. Maybe you can find a deal. The room overlooked the bay. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks pratik. Yeah, that place looks great but it's moving out of my budget range. I see all these listings for cheaper hotels I just don't know if they're any good. Oh well. I'll keep looking.

Rehoboth is good also since there are more bars! Dogfishhead brewery has great food and beers. My suggestion is go after Labor Day when the crowds drop and it is much more pleasant. We are going down some weekend in October and it should be pretty empty!

Deweys' great, but small and pricey! Although, everything is walking dist. Rehoboth would be my pick. If you party in Dewey and get too drunk, they have giant tricycles to cart your drunk a@& home! Expect to pay anywhere you stay 150-200 bucks a night, 2 night min. Good luck!

Would they mind if we crashed?

Yeah it looks like $150-$200/night is what it's going to cost me. We'll probably go up the weekend of the 26th to avoid the Labor Day crowds and since she has classes starting on the 29th. If you guys think of any other hotels let me know. Thanks!

We go down to OC every year the weekend before Memorial Day weekend for the muscle car cruise. I think I told you but you went to Mod Madness instead
