I'm looking at moving back sometime the beginning of July. I'm actually an intermediate photographer so if anyone would like pics when I get back I would love to shoot some stuff!

alright guys...

For the last few months I have searching VA for my G35C 6mt... I can find them with like 50k+ Miles, which I am not thrilled about in anyway. I go home in July, back to NY, but the taxes there will kill me...However they have the same coupes with like 25k-30k on them... However I have grown I'm patient and now I'm starting to fool around with the idea of the 5AT...

I've owned manuals...I love manuals... I love performance and all that jazz...I mean there nothing better then downshifting coming out of a turn and just going WOT...

However i feel like I need a new car asap...Im standing extra duty, for us military folk, just to pass the time because I'm so bored...

I think the 5AT would be fine...I'm still going to make smart and precise mods so i think ill be fine....

Buy what you think that would suit you, in the end its your call on what your getting, on here some of us would give you our own opinion on what to get. buy what you want, not what everybody wants, your the one thats going to be driving it on a daily basis not us.

 

+1...you are the one going to be paying for it. there is nothing wrong with a 5at.

 

My G37 is 5AT and I love it. Idk if the G35's offer it but I got the manu-matic shift which is the next best thing to MT. Still gives you that down shift which is fun! Probably just not as hard as a MT.

 

Judging by the posts of your's that i have read, i don't think you are gonna be happy with an Auto. Like others have said, it's your money so get what you are happy with.

I'll again suggest (Biasedly) a Z. There are TONS of manuals out there, you will save $$ by not paying for the name, and stock for stock, you'll gain a little performance. I'd drive both, unless you are dead set on a G. I have a buddy at work that has a Black/Grey 2003 6MT with 22,000 miles on it. He NEVER drives it, and i'm pretty sure he's talked of selling it. It's got the sport package i think. (18" wheels, Brembo, Nav, spoiler) It's bone stock, he's got like 4 cars. Let me know if you are interested.

did you post a thread in the general coupe section of the forum?, instead of this local thread? you really want "opinions" post it up in the coupe section instead of here. 6mt people will tell you get a manual and 5AT people will tell you get an auto.. it comes down to your choice and its your money....
