Just got back from the Suntrust Indy Challenge at RIR. Talk about a crazy race. It was more like an Indy car demolition derby. I think 13 cars bit the dust altogether in 9 separate crashes....expensive day in race car land. About 30% of the race ran with caution flags up. It was my first time to one of those races so it was awesome nonetheless. The sound those things produce is absolutely incredible and the way they stick to the ground is insane. One thing I found a little odd about the event was that they did the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the race. I hadn't said it since 6th grade so I was a little rusty, and it didn't help that the guy saying it over the loud speaker screwed it up.
Then some douche bag in an Acura tried to race me right before I got home. He's doing 5 under on General Booth crossing Nimmo and I just wanted to get home so I decided to hop around him to make the turn at Princess Anne. I pass him gently pulling through 50 in 6th and he decides it's race time. He puts hit foot down on his accelerator and since I'm below 2k rpm and need to make the next turn I respond by putting my foot down on my break. The guy goes past and flashes his hazards a little down the road.... Stand proud Cool Acura Guy, you just beat a G with it's breaks on.
