Winter Tires***
Hi All,
I am looking to winter-ize my G35C 6MT in preparation for the snow in New York City/ Long Island. I was wondering which snow tires everybody reccomends (i hear a lot about the Blizzaks and Dunlops) and is it sufficient to just change the 2 rear tires.
Will changing the tires actually make the G35C a car capable of driving in the snow??
Thanks for the info.

YES! I got the ASA KA3 wheels (17s) with Blizzaks LM-22s. No problems at all! You definitely need snow tires. Go to www.tirerack.com. That is where I got mine from, not a bad deal either...like $1300 or something.
DO NOT even attempt to drive your G without snow tires... all you're gonna get a your G sliding all over the place. The stock tires are NOT meant to be driven on snow.
Change all 4 tires, and you'll be fine... Even with the snow tires, with our cars being RWD, there rear is a little loose and you'll be prone to fishtail if you gas it too hard.
I'd recommend practicing in an empty parking lot to gauge how the G feels in snow... it'll save you down the road.

I have the Dunlop winter sport M3's. They did an excellent overall job on my coupe. Handling was only slightly diminished, and they were actually quieter than my Pilot Sports. No issues getting around in the snow, and their performance in the rain and dry was just as good.
The whole set up with rims/snows from the tire rack set me back around $1450.00. A reasonable price for the reassurance and saftey they provided.
