I take mine to MIT's vocational program for automotive repair and collision.

They're good... but not cheap.

I had my body shop do my brake caliper painting, my motordyne iso thermal plenum spacer install, injen cai install, my gordgee 10 wire grounding kit install, and my kptechnologies window roll up module install, and all my lights, and my front lip.

He's located in Peabody.
Send me a PM if you want the details.
Alot of people that do aftermarket stuff go to him.

He did my Z4 parts for me when I had that.
He does my M35 parts currently.
And he totally revamped my ML430 to look like a ML55 when I had that.

He's pretty good with pricing too...but he takes a little longer than most people. Its a small shop and they get lots of work.

How about 30K & 60K mile tune-ups....do these shops mentioned do this as well, or are they more for installs? I really don't want to go to the dealership & get hosed for my 30K mile tune-up...I'd rather take it to a local guy who's reputable, knows our cars and has decent pricing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When I had my RSX, I was really into going to S+L Tuning up in Dracut. They know s/c's VERY well.

They also do regular maint. on cars also. Curtis is the man. Their maint prices are very good also. I'd highly recommend them to do maint work.

I don't know about tune ups.
But tune ups are basically just checking the fluids and normal maintenance stuff, rotating the tires, oil change.

I'm sure you can bring to a trust worthy local shop.
My guy is a body shop.

I dont' really know anyone like that.

You could always bargain with them for the price.

Infiniti's actual employee price for the 30,000 is like 200 bucks.

Are you saying bargain w/ the dealership for the price of a tune-up? I've never thought of that....but I guess it wouldn't hurt. So you're saying employees get a discount and only pay $200 for this service!? I'd be there in a heartbeat if I could get it for this price......I thought I've read on this forum of guys paying over $600 at the dealership for this service (unless it was for the 60K)....either way, that's way too much dough (since it would cut into my "mod fund") .

1+ for Avalon Racing in Londonderry, NH. They work out of a Meineke Muffler garage and their mechanic is an absolute ace--fast, intense and perfectionistic.

JoeArlo, hope you guys have some tricks up your sleeve, cause you're gonna have some competition with what we're bringing to comp. :-) (dartmouth college)

Anyone know of any places closer to the RI/MA line, like southern Mass or northern RI?
