NJ Ticket Blitz?

Driving to and from work yesterday via 287 I noticed several cars pulled over by state troopers. Today while driving to work, I notice it again, and guess what? Pulled over. No front plate ticket. Anyone know of a ticket blitz going on in NJ right now? If so, I will just drive the beater around for awhile, not worth getting hassled.

Yup.....cops EVERYWHERE. Don't expect it to end soon either...with that debt our former "governor" got us into, they are trying to take our money through tickets, which were before unheard of (77 in a 65....since when has a copped pulled over someone for that?...happened to my dad and a friend). The problem spots which I have noticed are 287 exits 1-13ish, 78 exits 33-40....be very cautious speeding around 33 & 36, as our judge has been known to revoke people's licenses for 30 days for anything over 20mph...thank god for cruise control.

That makes plenty of sense, I figured it had something to do with debt, or paying for overtime. Unfortunately I drive on 287 daily from exit 10 to exit 2. The worst exits I found are between 6 and route 1 exits, they are horrible. Since driving on 287 daily I have been pulled over roughly 7 or 8 times by Edison (the worst), or State Troopers on 287. I won't even consider going near 80mph, because that will give them even more the reason to pull me over. Like I stated earlier, yesterday I got ticketed for on front plate, once again, all about the money. It was funny too, I was in the midde lane driving around 60mph, and the trooper was in the fast lane. As soon as he drove by my car, he stopped (clear from his brake lights), got right behind me, and pulled me over. After telling me all my infractions (tint, no front plate, smoked license plate frame), he goes, "is this a new car, it's very nice." Clearly he could have given me several tickets, but I guess he didn't want to seem like that much of a ball buster.

although its not recent, but my wife got pulled over in cliffside park going 9 miles over the speedlimit. until then I never heard of anyone getting a ticket for less then 10mph.
If there is anyone in Fort Lee, watch for a cop near the bridge infront of the school, everyday he pulls over people going faster than the posted 25. All of them enter that area from 9W where the speedlimit is 35.

AfroPuff....
Good luck with the V1...however, every day more and more cops are switching over to laser, and everyone knows radar detectors are nearly useless when it comes to laser. Whenever my radar lit up laser, it was just a nice reminder that i was screwed. Time to get a laser jammer...

I just got a seatbelt ticket and the cop basically said that they're out in force right now. I'm on 287S a couple of times a week but get off around exit 10. Haven't seen any more police than usual. Of course this is 6am.

I was comin in from Jersey back to Philly when my radar went balistic! Usually I don't pay attention to X band, but from what I understand Jersey invested heavily in the X band technology and are slow to switch over to newer radar. So when I got 4 bars on my radar, I slowed down quick $hit and didn't spot any trooper at all. Half a mile down the road on the opposite side was a trooper hitting me up. After I passed that trooper, my X-band was still going crazy and I couldn't figure out why and I immediately knew they were setting me up for a trap or something so I kept my speed at 50mph. Surely enough, a lil more than half a mile down the road there was a trooper parked on the side and as I passed him he followed me for a good two miles like a tru scum waiting for me to go over the speed limit. Cruise control is your buddy at times like this. I'm pretty sure the cops were mad that they couldn't catch me and add me to their quota. Radar...best investment ever!

By the way, saw 2 cops on 287 this morning outside of their cars trying to get people on radar. They were trying to get people were the 65mph speed limit changes to 55mph, watch out.
