Car service with Aftermarket rims at Lynnes in Bloomfield NJ

Hey has anyone had any issues with getting their car services at Lynnes Infiniti in Bloomfield with aftermarket rims on? I need to get my 30K service soon. I just got new rims and I am a little worried. I might jsut take them off to be on the safe side before i put the G in for service.

Any thoughts?

thanks in advance.

neil

I've always removed my wheels when I bring it in for major service.

Funny, I used to work at lynnes in bloomfield as a auto tech. Don't worry, your rims are safe! What kind of work u plan on doing? Not that it should have anything to do with your rims but, just curious...

Well, at 30k, you figure they will inspect the brakes. If I know they will ahve to touch the wheels for any reason, I remove them. Better safe than sorry. Accidents can happen.

If you wanna a take an extra precaution, just give them the socket for your lug nuts, just in case they don't have it. All you have to do is talk to the service advisor before you give him the car and tell him to be careful with the rims and make sure he has that written on your service sheet. and get a copy. That's your proof. Other than that, nothing is gonna happen to your rims/car!

Oh and my rims are the axis mod 7 so they have a cover on top of the lug nuts so all they need is a hexa screw driver thingie? I forget what they are called but basically the cover is held to the rim by a hexa head screw.
