I'm talking about Kevin since most are pushing for SLMetal. Since Work Wheels are anodized it is very difficult to fix it so he had to cut the edges and Polished it. You won't even know that it was there unless you know were was the polished part. If I can just find a Box big enough so I can ship my wheel

hes a metal shop, not a powder coating shop, he proabaly sends it out.

I got some bad curbage on three of my rims from the previous owner of the car, and am going to bring it to him to fix. He said hed have to repaint them as well.
Heres some shots of the damage:

I am wondering if I should get them polished, instead of repainted, any thoughts?

I've heard great things about SL Metals - Does anyone have an pics of an OEM 19inch wheel he's done? My wheels are f'd with stains and curb rash and i'm being very picky about matching the hypersilver color even though its supposedly extremely hard/impossible to match.

Apparently this guy figured out how to do it http://performancewheelrepair.com/samples2.html so it must be possible but he's in Cali.

Tryin to find someone on LI. These are the places i've found:

Wheel Fix it - Freeport
WHeels America - fixrim.com - Wyandanch
SL Metals - Babylon
Alloy Wheel Repair - Valley Stream
Al's Hubcaps - Mineola

Wheels America and Alloy Wheel Repair tell me color match isn't a problem
Wheel Fix it said they could do it but when i went there to check it out, they showed me a g37 rim and when comparing it to the new stock wheel you could tell the color was off. picture attached (refinished on left new on right- I know lighting plays a role but its still not the right color)

Anyone have any experience with an LI shop doing OEM wheels?

well the mobile alloy wheel repair does do most of our dealership work and never had any issue with matching the factory wheel color, especially plenty of G37 clients always get curb rashing with the low profile tires.

I've seen the work from Al's Hubcaps on Jusg35c's coupe and it came out great w/ a two-tone look.

SL Metals does amazing work but just go to his shop -- he's a one man crew and it is difficult to get him on the phone

SL metals did a great job on my stock G35 wheels, look in my threads for pics of the custom work he did.
