Nope because the Harley isn't getting as much attentions as imports. After the accident on Franklin and Elk Grove, there's more police presence then before so if you do go through there, don't speed.

Yeah I dunno, I watch a training video and they pointed out intake headers ect. They also pointed out blue vacuum hose. They pretty much said if it doesnt look OEM write it up.

Write it up for what? If you pass smog, have all the proper lighting, license plates, registration and your exhaust doesn't set off car alarms, what can they get you for? Simply adding FI to your engine certainly isn't against the law, as long as it's CARB legal.

I wish I could find that fuggin vid! They said you can not change anything! Everything must be OEM! The guy had blue vacuum hoses and the wrote him a ticket for them. My wife and I just laughed at the vid, it was a joke! Now I dunno what would happen when you go to the ref. Im sure they would just throw it out. But I guess the chippers want to make it hard on imports. That way you dont mod anything. Just time you have to take to get the ticket cleared.

Sounds more like a propaganda tape than a training tape. I'm no expert, but there must be specific laws referenced to write tickets. I doubt colored hoses is in the California Vehicle Code.

I have also seen the video and it actually happened to one of my teammates after a show. They were pointing out his different colored vacuum hoses and trying to site him for that amoungst many other things. They said said that the hoses weren't up to spec and either something about the material or just not being up to code.

The video has been taken off of YouTube due to "This video has been removed due to copyright infringement. "

yeap, I agree with Steve on this one because the cop will cited you for little things and some of the cop doen't even know if its carb legal or not. I had an integra with DC sport headers which is 50 state smong legal but when I got pulled over the cop tried to cite me for that.

BASE ACURA TLX NOW WANT A G35 AGAIN THOUGH
I got busted this morning on the San Mateo Bridge East Bound 92.
He clocked me at 96 MPH.
I wasn't going to speed, but this guy in a BMW older convt. was trying to "school" me...So I got a little speed happy and decided to take him out and when I slowed down by the toll plaza...it was too late, he was right behind me so I started pulling over.

He didn't get me for the plates, or dvd, or tinted windows....damn...I wasn't even in a hurry and I usually always slow down after the bridge....

Damn there goes my perfect record for almost 10 years now..!

SFPD, I can talk my way out of...but CHP....DOH...!
I was going 100+ would he have thrown the cuff's on?

I just pay the fine and traffic school right?

BoBs

Yeah, that should be all you need to do. You can even do your traffic school online now.

They are starting to crack down on the bridges again. I have been seeing a lot of CHP on the Dumbarton as well.

Be safe everyone.

I used traffic101.com, but you should wait for your ticket to come in the mail. Sometimes they have a list of specific traffic schools they deem "acceptable". My ticket was from the CHP but out of Butte County.
