Since all of our drive were exclusives to south of SF., I thought it would be good change of scenery to do an North Bay drive, here are some of tentative details and lets hear what are some of your thoughts on them…

Sunday August 27th. If we have small group of 10~ish cars? will meet up at Starbucks at Mill’s Valley on shoreline hwy, which it is right on hwy 1 so we would have greater chance of keep the pack together but the parking lot is bit on the small side, if we have more than 10 cars? We will be meet up at Starbucks on Donahue st. at Sausalito, its in same parking lot as Best Buy.

We will be taking Shoreline Hwy which is hwy 1, not the Panoramic hwy, we will be make an left turn at Golden Gate Recreation park, down to Muir beach and thru Steinson beach, and plan to stop at Marshall to have some lunch, or we can push bit further north about 20 more miles to Bodega Bay…more I think aobut it? Bodega Bay sounded better, as it will afford us more options for lunch and perhaps better views and parking.

Plan on meet up around 11am and leaving for the drive at 12pm, the distance to Bodega Bay is about 60 miles with plenty of twisty on the first 20 or so miles, once pass Steinson beach? The road become more relaxed, the drive should last about an hour to Marshall and about hour and 30 to Bodega Bay.

The way back from Bodega bay? Could take Bodega hwy to Sebastopol and the turn south to Gravenstein hwy to 101 or Valley ford rd. to Bodega ave. into Petaluma.

I will try to do a dry run this weekend or next week to nail down more exact location and routes.

I am interested, but I work that weekend.

 

The Z's did a run to Bodega Bay a year or two ago. Maybe a mixed G/Z meet if you guys are open to it? I'm sure some Z's would be interested. Just a friendly suggestion.

 

I should be in town by then, so I'm ready to meet some people and see the area.

Might be down for this, my daughters B'day is the day before I have done this route 9 times myself as I work in Santa Rosa, pretty fun drive.

Our meet are always open to Z'ers and to most of other type of cars as well and I usually post our drive info over at my350z, this drive is still in planning stage and need to get some of the particulars work out before I start invite other cars.

 

sweeeet... cool scenery... i might just have to do that myself just to relieve work stress.... i'd be up for it with the rest of you guys since i've always been wanting to go to bodega bay.

 

Count me in too. The twisties down to Stinson Beach should be fun.
