Bay Area Dealerships-Looking for a good deal on a G

I bought an 06 G coupe last Dec from Frontier Infinti and paid $500 over invoice and now have a friend looking to buy a new G coupe. Does anyone know of any dealership in the Bay Area that has a big inventory of coupes? Is $250-$500 over invoice about the best that I can expect or because of the impending change by mid year would they be more inclined to negotiate?

When will Infiniti designate the coupe as an 07, is it when the rest of the Infinti line is released later this year or is it when the restyle comes?

I ask this question because I'm wondering if it might be better in terms of value to wait for an 07 if and when that is? I can't see Infiniti make any changes from the 06 since they would be retooling for the mid year change unless it was something very minor.

07's coupe wont be newly redesign one's, the new one will come out sometime in 07(my guess would be late Sept.) as 08 model.

As far for pricing goes? check this thread...

I've received couple of E-mails from Infinit of Pleasanton back in May, stating that they will take 3500 off MSRP on any coupes in-stock with premium pkg, so there is good deal to be had, if you negotiate a bit and not being afraid of getting up and walk.

You're right Shane, Infiniti of Pleasanton gave me a great deal on my 06 coupe. The price that I got was 3800 off MSRP*Correction*. All of my negotiating was done through emails. Contact Christopher Anderson if you want a great deal. He will beat any one's best price.

Was that $3800 off invoice or off MSRP? IF it's off invoice that's one FANTASTIC DEAL!!!!!!!

Thanks, I'll check Infiniti of Pleasanton.

Gary (the fleet manager) at Pleasanton Infiniti told me that the new restyled couple are going to be out in Jan of 07. Everything I've been hearing was they were going to be released by mid or end of 07.

Now I'm really confused..........

If its going to be released in just other 4 more months? ask him for some pricing info and perhaps some specs and photo or two...

Regardless when it will be released, you wont able to find good deal for them in the initial 3~4 months, basically expect paying MSRP if not more! and you can rest asured that the price will be increase by quite a bit, consider from the pass? the MSRP for 03 5AT with 18 inch wheel and prem pkg was 35058 give and take hundren or so, fast forward to 06? with same options you are looking at 37500! nevemind the restyle and perhaps more power and options, also, availability of colors/options might be slim picking as well.

He said that Infiniti was being very and I quote "tight lipped about everything". My second contact with Gary, I told him everything that I heard the release date was later in the year. He told me as far as he knew that Jan was the date but he was going to check with upper management and get back to me.

He expected pricing to go up but didn't know how much and as far as getting a deal it depends on the old supply and demand scenerio. His best guess was that they would sell for close to msrp the first year but as time passes prices would be more competitive.

So far the best deal I got so far was from ********* but still looking. I'm going to check out a couple of auto brokers and see what they can do. I'll post the results when it's final.

Update on me helping my friend Mike finding a good deal on a G35 coupe. Well he finally made the purchase yesterday at Oakland Infiniti from Red. Here's the details.

06 Coupe/5at/sport-tune susp/prem/nav/rear active steer/splash guards/trunk mats/wheel locks. MSRP: $41,290 Invoice: $37636 Purchased: $37,450

Bottom line is we got the G for a few hundred under invoice. Oakland has alot of G's maybe that's the reason why I think we got a pretty good deal.
