Cool "SP" ScottPerformance Sold

Ted of "SP" Santa Clara has sold his business and the doors are close as of 08/31/06 Thursday. He has acquired his previous location "Gilroy" and back to working on the Lambos. But he will still be doing jobs such as TT's etc. on the Z's and G's.

What happened to SP? I noticed that the last couple of times that I went down there they were short for work.

I doubt that very much , when I went to pick my car up 2 weeks ago, he had over 25 jobs lined up with reciepts on each invoice to show how much people have paid up front. I actually called him yesterday as I have his fuel pump assembly sitting with me and was supposed to ship it to him tomorrow, looks like I will need to get his new address. When I asked about if he was still going to look after some of his customers he said of course.
I also noticed his new website but it has his old address on there.

Im talking to Warren right now, and he just got off the phone with Ted from Scotts Performance. Ted's old boss sold him the business in Gilroy (Lambo/Ferrari) shop. The owner retired. So now, he's back to working on the exotics. Ted also just picked up a Twin Turbo Lamborghini. He said he will probably make it to the Pebble Beach run with us. He'll drive his twin turbo Lambo with us.

However, if you or any close friends want to do any major upgrades such as Turbos etc.. He said he will take care of us. No little jobs!

Warren and I are probably going to pay him a visit next week to check out the shop and have lunch with Ted.

Paul, the last time I visited was some 3 months ago. There was no work being done at all and no cars parked inside. Why would he sell a vibrant business?

I was there Friday (08/26/06), 2 techs working at 8:00am, lots of Z's in the parking lot & at least 4 in the garage. Go figure. Warren, any word on the fate of SP? new management or no more?

It's not closing, it's will be under new management, but the techs there are good, so that's no problem. Ted is now close to us here, as he's in Gilroy with his new shop and we're just down the road in Salinas.

I haven't heard good things about Ted but I don't know both sides to the stories so I can't comment on them.

Who would you trust your car with. Some that has deals with high exotic cars like Ferrari's and Lamborghini's or some else that thinks they know about Z's and G's??? Go ahead keep going to the local rice burner shop.

It's like going to the "grasshopper" instead of the "Master". Quote from the shaolin master from "Kung Fu". Oh, sorry you're too young to understand this. You weren't even a thought in your Daddy's mind yet.
