Fender Gash!! 920.00 to repair.WTF!!!!
My wife accidently dropped a bbq grate on my fender resulting in a gash about 2" long....I went to Cook's Collision yesterday....They gave me an estimate of 920.00....Sounds crazy to me as I recently was hit in the rear and had the bumper and exhaust tips replaced for 1200.00...Of course the other persons insurance paid for that....I told them I might as well do some real damage and mess up the fender and front bumper(rock chips, dealer drilled bumper)and pay my 1000.00 deductable...Course my rates would go up...I'm going to try another shop....

I took the pictures last night in my garage so there a little dark.. I took more this morning..I agree that their price is crazy...Probably not worth their time unless they can charge that much..I went to Cook's because they replaced my bumper in previous accident and did nice work...Going to another place today..We'll see how much another estimate is...
Thanks for the help..
Thanks for the help..
Hmm.. it doesn't look like the damage is deep at all. What do you think about trying to "buff it out" with a PC Orbital yourself? Might make it a lot less noticeable and might not cost you anything. Sorry, I can't really tell how well it would work or not from the pics.
