hey guys,

so i'm moving to oakland and i'm planning to go to infiniti of oakland for TSBs, fixes, and major services. anyone have a service adviser there that they recommend? i'm looking for someone mod friendly (i have some suspension mods that frontier infiniti b*tched about and wouldn't do the compression rod TSB as a result).

i wouldn't mind going elsewhere either if the service/service adviser is much better.

let me know, thanks!

so far oaklands one of the best i've heard so i believe you'll be getting much better service. Frontier is crap. I'm going to frontier next week though to have my passenger headlight replaced for condensation.

i don't have a name since it's been about 1 yr, but i had no problems with Oakland working on my rear axle clicking noise TSB.

Peninsula and Serramonte wouldn't touch my car. They said my big wheels and big brake kit may have been the cause.

I had tremendous service from Oakland. They took care of my car and I also got a loaner.

Very good experience when I was there.

searched i found my old post with my experience with Oakland Inifiniti:

another one i posted that has additional comments from others.

Dean is the service manager.

I worked with service advisor, Louis Rodriguez. Tell him the Yellow G35 that he serviced a little over a year ago sent you. I'm sure they still remember me.

hope things have not changed since than.

good luck

If you still plan on Infi of FF, talk to Dave. He's a good guy and likes to see what mods you have. He always asks what else I've done and wants to check it out while writing up your service order.

They've done all my service and I have no complaints nor any problems with my mods.

thanks, fairfield is next on my list. when i talked to the person in the service dept about my appt, they brought up the notations made by frontier hopefully the service adviser i get won't give me grief about this.

Wow...sounds like Frontier doesn't like you with those notations and such.

I have an 06 too. What's up with your compression rods, if you don't mind me asking.

they squeak and groan a lot when turning into driveways, going over speedbumps, etc... there are a few threads on here about them being problematic. no good solution is available (replacing them doesn't seem to solve the problem)

Hmmm...thanx for the info. I'll have to search here and read up on it.
Remember reading something about it awhile back now I think of it, but thought it was on the 03-04's, not 05-06's I have a coupe and so far no noises like that :crossing fingers:

Well, g/l with all that. Sounds like Oakland will/should take care of you from what I'm hearing here.

Dean is no longer in Oakland. I used to go to him all the time. But there is someone else there that is very helpful but forgot his name. I'll let you know when I look at my invoices at home.
