i'm looking to join a gym and a friend of mine recommended club one in downtown oakland. anyone here go there to work out? my *** out severely out of shape and i need to get back to the gym. let me know if you go there and what you think of it, especially if you know what the morning or evening crowds are like. i'm going to stop by on my way home from work to check it out i think.

Im not from Oak-Town, But im a clubOne head... luv that gym. but I think it depends on where your gyms is and how its ran. ive been to a few in san jose and dont really like. some of the gyms uses the Rubber weights. well hope that helps,

go to YMCA down in telegraph, its not that far

 

i've been going to clubone in downtown oakland for years. u can usually pic up a decent b-ball game. got a small lap pool too...but mostly i like cos not as jammed pack as 24hr. nicer and cleaner facilities

YMCA is that shiet.. they just extended their weight room go there all the time... pool,squash,yoga bball 25$ a month

 

Club One is cool.. but not cheap..

 

lol 1.5 months after i first posted i finally went and signed up today. the club is NICE but really f'ing expensive. oh well, can't put a price on health right? and the more comfortable it is there, the more likely i am to go...
