Newbie: Just got a G35

I just purchased a '03 G35 sedan w/43k miles, still under factory warranty. It's silver with the tan interior, and it's pretty clean, just needs to be washed. I was previously looking at an audi a6 2.7t but i had just done some timing belt service on my sister-in-law's passat 1.8t and it really sucked to have to pull the front bumper and all. I preffer to stay non-aspirated and have some good power in a rwd car. The looks don't hurt either. It's pretty much stock.

I'm on ls1tech a lot and also have a '98 camaro z28 with mods. I'm really comfortable working on my car, but I don't think I'll be doing anything to the G35, just appearance stuff (tint, rims, grille). Anyway, sorry for the long intro. I'm in Merced County if anyone ever decides to do a GTG or anything.

Also I've got a problem, none of my interior lights will work. I'm not talking about the cluster or cd lights, I'm talking about the MAP (dome lights, front or back). I was thinking it might just be a fuse. Can anybody help me out?

fuse box is near your dead pedal i do believe.

and, isn't it "naturally aspirated"? non-aspirated would be a dead car...lol

I guess it is so

I looked into some of the service bulletins on infinitihelp.com and found out that they could stop working because of the BCM (body control module) not working properly. There are a lot of service bulletins for 2003 G35 sedans. I hope they can take care of them and the car is still under factory warranty. Thanks for the info on the fuse box.

Welcome to the club and I hope you are enjoy with the G in and out. I am in Fresno, not far from Fresno State Campus. I was rathering some G around here and there for a Central meet in the coming months!!

About your fuse box, if the car is under warranty, you should bring it to the dealer and let them fix it. However, it would be wise to ask them if you have to pay anything (part/labor) ahead of time. I assume you are going to the dealer in Fresno, it's the only one around here. IF so, talk to Carey Tutunjian-service consultant, he is o.k

Thanks for the welcome. I pulled the bulletin that I was referring to about the BCM http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB02-081.htm and I think that may be the problem.

It still has bumper to bumper until 12/07 and only has 43k miles, so the warranty will cover it. I'll call and see if they can schedule me in next week so they can check it out. I think there's also an Infiniti in Modesto that does service.
