Anyone here shoot competitively via the IPDA or USPSA/IPSC?
Yeah, they are open to the public.

Check their site out (http://losaltosrodandgunclub.com/) for more info.

They also sell ammo at reasonable prices (they had win .308 for $16/box, which is cheaper than some of the stores) unlike most ranges!

Thanks, guys.

Nah, I just do it for fun. I've should have gone to art school but my parents wouldn't have it.

And, ya, I need to draw a G.

johnsonhuang, I got next game! Although my bro would give you a better run for your money in Tekken than I could.

[edit]Btw, I do all my art on the computer:

Would anyone be interested in organizing/attending a G35Driver Norcal shoot? There Los Altos Rod and Gun Club sounds like a perfect place: it's on Skyline Blvd so there's a fun drive that can be had before/after (and they have both a pistol and a rifle range).
It's a little bit of a drive, but I'd love to do something like that!

Not yet, but I've been very interested in finding out more about it and getting into it. Then again, I guess I have to work on the fundamentals first, and get myself a .45ACP.... One thing at a time

If you are seriously considering action shooting, at some point, I would suggest a 9mm of any model. Personally, I would opt for the Glock 17. Ammo is much cheaper for the 9mm and the recoil is easier to deal with.

Pro's and con's about every gun and caliber... Not hating on glocks but it's a lot harder to tell if ur cocked and ready... No hammer... Thats the main reason i dont like glocks... Even though i own a Walther P99 I regret buyin it because it has no hammer and no safety... But to each his own...

If chambered, the Glock is always ready to go. It is not for the uninitiated . . . And as such, it is an excellent Mil spec firearm for action shooting.

That is one of the reasons, I went with the P2000, with a decocker. Once you put a round in the chamber you decock and fire the first round double action, then single. It has a very easy to see chamber indicator, so it's a no brainer. I would have preferred a USP style action with decocker/ Safety. My Kel tek is DAO,. Having said that I am perfectly comfortable, carrying either one. I have a concealed permitt, and probably carry 85 percent of the time.

Anyone up for a G35 drive-by shooting meet?
