I only recommend Infiniti of Oakland and Infiniti of Serramonte -- with a slight lean towards Oakland (talk to Pamela, the GM, and tell her Gary Leung sent you).

I recommend you stay as far away as possible from Serramonte Infiniti.

Brian Fortune was a total douche bag (x 10000) to me right from the start. I was very ready to buy, and Oakland was so patient, so courteous (just because I look and act young doesn't mean I can't afford the G), and they even held a car for me without a deposit! Unfortunately, Serramonte had what I wanted, and their GM was not too shabby, so I got a 6MT from the very first shipment of the '07 sedans. I negotiated A LOT off the MSRP (more than anyone on the forum at that time). The GM is no longer there anymore, so I am not recommending Serramonte with full confidence (but I do like their Service Dept very much).

At this time of the year, you have a lot more bargain power with any model you want. E-mail all the dealerships and see how much they'll budge initially.

Peninsula Infiniti sucks, they seem like they don't need anyone's business. Talked to Forest Preston there, made him a very reasonable offer. I felt I was treated like if I were an idiot and my offer was rediculous. I thought they were very rude. I suppose you can say I was on the rebound when I went to Infiniti of Oakland, but hey they gave me a deal, $100 above invoice!

Not to beat a dead horse, but I want to add that Brian Fortune at Peninsula Infiniti (which is the closest dealership to me) went as far as to tell me to just go somewhere else for the test drive (this is when the car was announced and showcased at the end of Oct '06, before the first shipment had arrived). I said at least one dealership was offering $750 off (Fairfield) to all prospective buyers. He said there's no way any G's would sell anything under MSRP, and told me this (copy-and-pasted from his email):

As is it seems we are unbale to help you, maybe you would prefer to test drive the car at the dealership that offered you the discounted price.

Come on! You don't even want to invest in a little time to offer a test drive that could potential sway me. In fact, months before the launch, I visited the dealership just to gauge their professionalism. Granted, I was a young guy (mid 20s) wearing a stripped polo, shorts, and flip flops (my intention exactly), but they KNOW G35s are hot sellers to the younger audience. I walked around a pretty G coupe and NO ONE even said hi to me for at least 10 minutes. Then, this old dude finally started up a conversation with me. He was a bit shocked that I knew so much more about the upcoming G35 sedan, but still courteous. No where as courteous and friendly as Oakland, though. Oakland is genuine, knowledgeable, and their dealership is absolutely the best looking and feeling one I've been to.

I know everyone has his/her own positive and negative experiences, so read my post with a grain of salt. Pamela at Oakland is a veteran at her job. She'll be delighted to hear that I (Gary Leung) sent you.

Penninsula infiniti with the help of brian fortune, the sales manager and the a$$hole that closes the deal tried to pull a "fast" one on me and when I called their bluff they all played dumb. They all were a bunch of phonies only interested in trying to rip me off....Not going to go into details but they tried to squeeze another $4,000 out of my pocket...I called those goofballs on it and told them if anybdoy ever asks me about dealerships they would be the first not to go to followed by stevens creek infiniti....Good luck

Infiniti Oakland. Salesperson Phil Avila.

For me? Why?
1. I ended up buying my car there in the end and trying at Frontier Infiniti, and I liked my sales person.
2. Just didn't work out for me at Frontier Infiniti. Which I hear is a sistership of Peninsula Infiniti.
3. Just want throw out a vote for Infiniti of Oakland and help the sales guy.
