Angry J Watch out Jiffy Lube "Caught on Video"

Watch out if you ever go to Jiffy Lube. Here is a news report on NBC. Caught on video lying and not performing the repair job. It makes me wonder sometimes about my own mechanics when I pay $1000.00 for a 60K major tune up (this also included replacing timing belt and water pump etc..) .

Check it out:

What is this world coming too?? Sounds like they made a business out of stealing from people and theres no way its just a coincidence that it happend at 5 out of 9 jiffy's. Glad I havent used them for any type of servicing on my cars. Makes me skeptical about taking my car to any shop period! Down with Jiffy Lube!

i'm sure it happens at more places than jiffy lube. you can only blame the guys that run each shop and the techs that do it.

Yeah that is nothing new. Tire kingdom was busted like 5 years ago for failing to change brake fluids, pads, oil, and other fluids. They were also busted for not rotating tires and what not.

I think jiffy lube was busted about 2 years ago for not changing oil.

first let me say that this is a repost.

Second. I have being dealing with this **** for past 3 years.

As some of you many know I work with semi trucks. All 27 of my units run all 48 states. So when my truck brakes down or starts acting up I am forced to take it to the shop and get it repaired. You would not believe the attempts of a$$ rape I was up against. And system with trucks is much more complex then with Jiffy Lube.
Trucks are being inspected by DOT if something is faulty truck is put out of service and ordered to get fixed. Ironically there is only one guy to do it and he happens to be right there at that particular location where truck is at and what do you know................He charger $105 per hour for labor. So you cant leave and go to a shop to get fixed cuz you get a ticket, and there is nobody in the area to call also.

FUBAR..............

I wish I could...learning basic auto workings is something I would love to find time to do, it's just such a daunting amount of information to process! And I feel like you can't really learn **** from books when it comes to cars, jus gotta do it and learn.

I mean I'm not a stupid guy but cars are just so different from computers
