HELP! Local maintainance issues

So I dropped by the stealership today to try and get the clock lights fixed, have them look at my tranny, fix my window from jamming, and check my brakes (monterey run freaked me out).

Anyway, for $240 they told me the clock bulbs have burnt out and they could replace them for...$90. They didnt change the window motor, they just reset it. They checked the brakes (which the price is justified) and told me not to worry. They said the tranny was fine but i need to change the fluid, and flush the coolant as well as change the belts.

Now they can change the fluid for $175...and told me not to go to jiffy lube because they dont know what fluid to do or something like that.

They can do a coolant flush for $195, and again told me not to go to a place like jiffy lube beacue "these systems are sealed" and need special attention..

They can also change my drive belt for $180, and he didnt give me any warning about trying to go elsewhere on that.

So I spent $240 today to have them tell me I need to spend $550!!!

I bought one bulb ($15) and replaced it myself and in 5 min I had a working light on my clock...

Anyway the real thing is, can i have this tranny (5AT), belt, and coolant done at a local shop in nor cal and save money or is this one of those things where the dealership is actually right and I should take it back to them?

Thanks for the help guys

Try calling zcar garage and get a quote from them. Tranny flush for $175 is a sweet deal if its a flush. The fluid alone costs about $120. I had my coolant flush done at a local oil change place for $50, but I brought my own coolant ($8) and deionized water ($2) and watched them change it. Most shops will want to use tap water, thats a no-no. I can't say much on the belts since I have yet to do mine, but that still seems a bit high from what I've seen needs to be done. My belts are due to be done also, let me know what you figure out for that. Thats about all I can come up with for now.
