Grace, what kind of damage are they fixing on your wheel and how much did they charge you for it? I'm thinking about taking my wheels there when I get new tires. My wheels got destroyed by a train track!

They do good work but are a little more expensive then Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara. I had a wheel rash repaired there and I believe it was around $100 to fix. I highly recommend them and my turnaround was 1 or 2 days.

My wheels were trashed by potholes.
Hwy 24 and 27th street had some nasty ones this winter.
I didn't realize how bad things were.

Gawd, where's the hang your head in shame smilie.

I had three bent rims and a nasty scrape on one. You would have never known looking at them that here was this much damage. Wah!!!!!
They were straightened and all 4 polished. We were charged a different price because of Mike's shop. I believe it should be around 600 for what I had done.

When you see the IP coupe carefully driving around potholes in grandma mode, it's me. It's embarrassing that they were in such bad shape.
On a positive note, I learned the tps problem might just have been the substitution of a brass valve core instead of a steel one.
We'll see tomorrow.

I was thinking about using Rite Way for 2 wheels, but was holding off beacuse of not wanting to give up the G for 3-4 days. So it's about 150 a wheel ? Let me know how the experience went. Hey May be I can borrow/rent you're OEM's when I do it !

Quote: How big of a backlog did you guys experience at the Walnut Creek store? I have all four of my rims going there next week, are they pretty good at keeping timetables?

TIA

I think I'm due for a visit to the doctor (Rite-Way). I found a dent on the inside of one of my wheels this past weekend

I have to inspect the rest.

Can I say I work at Mikes shop Gillian? jk

Nah. You make me laugh.
You have a get out of jail free card.
Besides, every time I post ,the Jaws theme seems to be playing

Paul: You know you want to drive around on two oem and two pretty wheels.
I did it for a whole day. (I also hid it in the garage at work for most of that day)
I don't see why you couldn't "borrow" the wheels for a bit. I just have to figure out when I actually get to switch everything out.
