Either doesn't care or has friends that he "works with".

Almighty then - saw Cloverfield tonight and then had dinner at Straights; both in the new bloomingdales shopping mall between market & mission. Cloverfield is pretty tight, except I recommend everyone take an anti-motion-sickness pill or something before seeing it.

And Straights - as usual - was sooo frackin' good. If you're never been there before, it's Singaporean cuisine, which is some of the best in the world IMHO. I had Roti Pratta (indian flat bread with yellow curry dipping sauce), shrimp wontons with red chili pineapple sauce, tamarind beef with garlic fries and a pandon passionfruit cheesecake. OMG*d soooo good!

Their food is tasty but wayyyyy overpriced for the lil servings they give you. I think Banana Leaf is just as good with larger servings.

It is pricey, I agree - but I went there for the Dine About Town promo thing they've got going on. $31.95 for a 4-course prix fixe meal (not including the garlic fries), I think it was worth it.

I saw that promo going on. I never really go to SF to eat so it was not much interest to me. Id say you got a pretty good deal. I got some dish with the filet mignon once and it was like 6 little slices of meat for $25. For that money I woulda rather gone to Palace BBQ in Sunnyvale and grilled my way to stomach happiness...

Ive only been to the one in Burlingame. Its a good place to go if you dont wanna get too full but yet still hang out with friends while enjoying the nighttime scenery that goes in there...

Set one up, I'll definitely come. Maybe not for burritos, but nachoes or something similar.
