Almighty then - saw Cloverfield tonight and then had dinner at Straights; both in the new bloomingdales shopping mall between market & mission. Cloverfield is pretty tight, except I recommend everyone take an anti-motion-sickness pill or something before seeing it.
And Straights - as usual - was sooo frackin' good. If you're never been there before, it's Singaporean cuisine, which is some of the best in the world IMHO. I had Roti Pratta (indian flat bread with yellow curry dipping sauce), shrimp wontons with red chili pineapple sauce, tamarind beef with garlic fries and a pandon passionfruit cheesecake. OMG*d soooo good!

Their food is tasty but wayyyyy overpriced for the lil servings they give you. I think Banana Leaf is just as good with larger servings.

It is pricey, I agree - but I went there for the Dine About Town promo thing they've got going on. $31.95 for a 4-course prix fixe meal (not including the garlic fries), I think it was worth it.
