How could a shop misdiagnose a problem with a cat as a problem with a tranny? WTF!

when the brackets break only at low rpms it ticks and rattles, so i kinda see how they would think it was tranny or motor mounts

Mine didn't. Could have something to do with the fact that I had my car tuned with a Unichip. I ran test pipes in my previous Maxima, and that definitely sounded like a can of bees. ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I had a broken bracket on my Crawford High Flow's, and had a weird azz rattle. It was very easy to discern where the problem was by bending down under the car as it's being driven under load. If you rev in park/neutral with no load, they won't hear the rattle, and therefore won't associate the problem with the cats, or the tranny or motor mounts for that reason.

yeah. just i just picked my car back up. apparently, serramonte infiniti had a g37 on the lot. it just got moved back to the factory 2 days ago cause they had it there for 2 weeks to do test. mechanic was all happy cause he was the only person that was allowed to drive it. hahaha. lucky bastard.

anyway. back to my brackets/test pipes question.

I also have right hanger that holds my exhaust up that fell off. Some brackets that suppose to hold the right side of my pipes up also which don't come with my catback. They suggest i get some brackets welded in to keep it up.

I hear many good things about Kinetix TPs... good gains? mostly what im leaning towards

also brands like...
megan
arc
stillen
borla
aps
Invidia
fast intentions (not sure if they have it for sedans)

just to name a few off the top of my head

and wheres a good place to get that hanger and those extra brackets set up and welded. Dont think i wanna go back to Golden Auto for welds.. the guy is cool, but the workers there are weird. Look like Vietnam POW's..
