Hi NorCal guru,

I just got my 05g35c served today and overall service is very good. Gary @ Redwood city didnt push any other expensive service even my front tire only had 1/32 left,. He did go some extra miles on fixing a click noise issue. Now My ft. brake linings has 8mm, Rr brake linings has 4mm, he said it's ok now, but should be replaced pretty soon, so can you tell what should I do on the brakes, just pads or...?)

And I need info on where to buy the tires (I assumed tirerack.com, and is everyone here all recommended "Michelin Pilot Sport PS2" instead of OEM Bridgestone Potenza for 19' rims) and brake serviced in south bay and how's the price?

Thanks a million,
~A

brand new pads are 10mm so you still have quite a bit left although i find it odd that your rear brakes are wearing more than your fronts.

as for tires, i'd give steve at auto innovations a call...they're in milpitas.

Thanks Super!

Just checked their website, didnt find any info regarding the tires? Do you suggest to install the tires over there?

Just wonder if the 36k warranty covers the "brake pads" and "rotors" for 2005, I recalled that someone mentioned those should be covered.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks,

NO, 05's do not have brake warrenty...

I would get your tires from Tirerack, while PS2 have great performance but its 77 bucks more than Potenza RE050A, dont know if its worth the extra money, especailly if your G is a daily driver, for changing brake pads? check out this thread...

Lots of reviews complained the unacceptable noise and dramatically wearing after 8k driving on OEM "Potenza RE050A" tires

Checkout: (all from infiniti drivers)

Buy the way,

how much do you guy pay for 30k service at bayarea infiniti dealer? I need to get that service soon for my G35.

The last time I asked, Frontier Infiniti quoted $750.

Thanks

Thanks super,

Just gave them a ring, unfortunately steve was out and another guy gave me a quote:

1, Toyo t1r, total $1000 including tax, labor and alignment (sounds a good deal but I was not quite familiar with the tires)

2, Michelin PS2, total $1450 or I purchased tires and they do the work for $110+$12(disposal fee) - this one seems high priced

Since I know tirerack offers PS2 for about $1260 (including shipping fee)...

Shall call back for steve? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
~A

I got it done @ Penisula for $550, since I have some warranty issue need the dealer to fix. And I like to give them a thumb up.

Some recommended "Jason" for the 30k service, I may try him later...

+1 for jason...he just did a reg. oil change for me but he is going to do my 30k next.

you probably talked to orlando who is steve's partner. he's a good guy and does all the suspension installs. he'll be doing my coilvers, a arms, and camber arms soon. i'm actually running toyo t1r right now on my 19" volks as with a lot of guys on this forum. i don't have any complaints at all...def bang for the buck.

Yes, it's orlando.

If you guys recommended t1r, Im tends to put them on. How long do you have them on? Passed 10K? How is the noise level and wearing? Any threads discussed it before?

Thanks super!
