Planning a trip to San Francisco towards the end of the month...any casinos nearby? Also, any recommendations on what to do? Gonna probably check out Alcatraz...

There's always Lucky Chances in Colma, near Daly City. And then there's Bay 101 and Garden City in San Jose, Casino San Pablo, along with a couple others that I can't remember. Nothing too big and fancy down here. If you want big a nice with lots of slots, then you will have to travel towards Thunder Valley or Cache Creek.

Hmmm . . . Personally, I would go to the Cache Creek Resort. We usually go there for the day. My wife will play Blackjack or Let It Ride, while I wait to get onto a poker table. The dining there is fair/good. They have a nice bar and dance floor there . . . It's a fun place to kick back and people watch.
