What would you do . . .

If you found a briefcase sitting on a park bench and in the said there was a wallet filled with $500.00 along with a driver's license? Assuming that you took a peek inside of the briefcase . . . Would you attempt to contact the person named on the driver's license?

I'd take out 20 bucks for FEDEX, I'd ship it to him with a note explaining I had to take out 20 bucks for FEDEX fees along with my business card. I'm sure the owner wouldn't mind.

Andy, btw I saw your Gialla grille at International. It looks good.

I'd attempt to contact the owner.

I was in a similar situation once about 5 years ago. I went shopping at the outlets with my cousins right before spring break. We found a women's purse on a bench. I was really tempted to take all the money and use it on spring break but I knew it wasn't the right thing to do. I was looking through her purse and found a driver's license and a cell phone. I stayed put for a couple of minutes then proceeded to walk to the customer service office, when she spotted me. Imagine if I had taken the money and she saw me with her purse.

It's tempting but returning it is the right thing to do.

My instincts would tell me to call them, but my history, would grab the cash and go. . .but now, im pretty broke, so i'd take half and leave the rest there for someone else to deal with :P

I am so superstitious, that if I get the wrong change or not charged for something, I will go back and make them charge me. I know dumb, but bad kama will mess me over if I don't do the right thing. And this is from experience, not just once but in 3's.
