What? seriously? someone actually took $10million in exchange for not having contact w/ their family? that's pathetic. so sad Andy... I'm curious who this is...

I just read Chris's post... it's a "she"? how can a mother leave her children... I can never understand that. Children are bonded with their mother from the beginning of their lives.

All jokes aside, I wouldn't trade my family or friends for ANY amount of money. Without family there is no need for money.

Yeah, sad but all so true. The circumstances are different and I embellished on the actual amount of money . . . Although, it's turned out to be a nice tidy sum of monies. However, in the end, a trusted friend of some 20 years decided to trade in her life, as she knew it . . . For unnecessary gain.

The long arm of the Law follows and karma is a b!tch.

I have learned much from this episode. As the months roll by, I am becoming more and more content. We all have much to be quite thankful for . . . We have our family and friends.

I couldn't have said it any better myself.

Interesting story, albeit sad, Andy. Thanks for sharing!

+1! as much as my family drives me crazy sometimes... they're still my family. I love them with faults and all.... and my friends... the ones I have have stuck by me through my worst and best... and I do the same for them.

All the money in the world can't cover all of that.

Ten Million $

I couldn't accept a dime under these circumstances. If you don't have a
family that loves you what good is the life you're living. The same applies to
friends, I can count on one hand the number of close friends I've had in my
lifetime. These are friends that would watch your back no matter what,
friends that you can count on and would never let you down. Both family
and friends are more valuable than all the money on earth, and that's a fact!
