Concrete work in the bay area?

Does anyone have a hookup or have someone they can refer me to, to get some concrete work done. It is a pretty small job but was just curious if anyone out there knew someone that did good work. Thanks

It is basically the curb that leads into my driveway. It is real steep and sharp. I want to make it a gradual incline. Like extend it out to the street. There is some concrete that needs to be removed though.

Maybe you can do trade work on someone's car for concrete help.

I believe you do need a permit to add onto the curb

Castro Valley is not a city so if you did need one, I wouldnt need one. Also I would consider trade work but someone here has to be a concrete worker or something.

It is an unincorporated part of Alameda county. Therefore technically it is not a city. We do not have to have sidewalks, we dont pay the regular city taxes therefore we dont get city type services like road maintenance and stuff like that. They have to raise the money through other means.

just don't make too low or you'll get ponding and will need a drainage system... trench drains, pipes, and sump w/ pump... all adding more cost to what initially thought as simple....

jason...before you do any work, i would contact these people first. true, cv is unincorporated but that means it falls under the jurisdiction of alameda county. i asked my brother who is a civil engineer and he advised to contact public works first. good luck.
