Doing 72 in front of Kaiser? Well, if you crash the ER isn't too far off.

Radar detectors are useless. I know most, if not all of you guys, swear by them, but I don't.

That's true. My ex-gf got sick 4am christmas morning and the ER was packed. The sad part was the month old baby that was screaming like crazy for hours yet didn't have a "serious enough problem" to go first.

It does not exactly scramble it. It matches the lidar guns pulses per second and shoots back the same pulses which confuses the gun.

We do have tactics to defeat jammers, which I will not share, of course. Officers have also caught on to when their Lidar unit is being jammed. On top of it all, in order to be certified in the use of Lidar, we have to be certified in radar. Which in turns leads me what is required in order to be certfied in radar. We have to be certified in visual estimation of speed. We have to testify in court to visually estimating a vehicle's speed before 'pulling the trigger'. I have seen judges render a guilty verdict based soley on the officer's visual estimation. The best and cheapest defense is to lift that right foot a little bit.
